The room was upgraded with no charge upon my check-in. Friendly receptionist with English speaking and supportive. The room is basically good with price and perfect location to attraction points by walking. Recommended hotel for cost effective and nearby center.

The hotel’s location was great, It was close to lots of attractions and many popular tourist spots. One con about this hotel is that the room we were in barely had any lights so it was difficult for us. And the cleaning was decent. Overall, It was a great hotel with free water, paper cups and a great view. Would recommend going

The location is perfect: away from pedestrian street of East Nanjin road, but close to 2:subway stations. Coffee shops, restaurants, fruit local stores are nearby.
Some rooms are for smoking guests, so check your room first about those smells. Beddings are clean, room is spacious. Staff doesn't speak English, but we used translate app, so communication was good.

Excellent location, direct from the SH PD airport metro 2 to the hotel, have a couple of metro close by to choose from, the reception was lovely, they let me check in early, the staff cleaning the rooms were also nice and did a great job on housekeeping, the only small comments they missed really small minor things which I could tolerance on housekeeping and the hotel is a bit tired but this doesn't impact my overall staging experience at all and I will recommend this to my friends

The location is not bad, quite close with Nanjing Road. But no doubt and expect less, because the hotel is kinda old property. Not going to visit in future, but definitely recommended for those who seek affordable hotel with good location. Could be one option in your list.

Good service, excellent location near to People's Square and East Nanjing Road. 15 minutes walking to the Bund. Clean and spacious room. Helpful staff. I will stay again here in my next visit to SH.

The hotel is so old. unfortunately we found a coackroach at room the first night. and this bad experience made us unhappy. By the way they changed our room for the other nights.
also don’t have a slipper for bathroom!
and the windows aren’t isolated, although air conditioner turned on, but still the room was cold. we catched a cold on our trip :(
İf cleanness and being new, is important for u , I recommend to NOT choose this hotel.
