Hi Inn Hotel (Shanghai City God Temple Xiaonanmen Subway)

Location is absolutely stellar! ⭐ Plus, the convenience of being able to leave my luggage here for a few weeks was such a bonus. After 3 weeks, I returned to this place for one more night, and it felt just as great as the first time. Highly recommend for both the location and the excellent service!

Terrible experience – avoid this place at all costs! This was by far one of the worst accommodations I've ever stayed in. First of all, the entrance is extremely poorly marked – it’s hidden in a side street, and there was absolutely no mention of this in the listing. We spent ages just trying to find the way in. The elevator to the upper floors is ancient and honestly feels unsafe. The entire property reeks of cigarette smoke, and the smell in the room was even worse – like sewage. The toilet seat was broken, and the shower drain was completely clogged, so water just pooled on the floor. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our stay. Staff couldn’t speak a word of English, which made communication extremely frustrating. On top of everything, the ceilings were moldy and damp. This place was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Located very near to xiaonanmen metro station and there are buses to the bund. There are also restaurants nearby. Thanks to the staff who helped me make a restaurant reservation as i did not have a china mobile number. The only downside is the room is a bit dark, could be brighter. 靠近小南门地铁站，有公交车去外滩。附近有餐厅。感谢前台帮我预定餐厅，因为我没有中国号。唯一缺点就是房间有一点暗，可以亮一点。

Location is excellent just outside xionanmen station. Room was bit small but good enough for 1 person. Need more light points. Also the Remote of central ac is in chinese - tough for foreign citizens. But overall very satisfying

Location is perfect. Near to bus stop, metro and most of the attactions are nearby. Room is clean and bedding is neat. However, there s strong cigarette smell throughout the hotel and so in the room as well. For someone who's not a smoker, it's going to be hell to stay in the room or to sleep.
