Hi Inn Hotel (Shanghai Bund Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street)

Hotel is located near a metro station. Most if not all attractions can be accessed by metro. That's convenient Hotel room is small. Guess that's the size one gets for the price range. Beds were clean and soft. Toilets had wet and dry partition. Hot shower with good pressure. A lifesaver during cold weather. The staff were helpful even though they did not speak English.

The staff here are lovely and very kind. The room is okay, the size is medium.

The hotel is conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the subway station "East Nanjing Road", that can be reached directly from Pudong airport and Hongqiao airport and Hongqiao station (line 2, the green one).  It's also just 5 minutes walk from the buzzing Nanjing street and a 30 minutes walk from the Bund.  The room was small, but had all I wanted and needed. It seemed clean.  Be aware that there are rooms without windows in Chinese hotels. You may want to pay a few RMB more to have a window.  The hotel is on the 5th floor of another hotel in the same building, so the reception on ground floor is not the reception you need. Simply walk around that reception and take the elevator to the 5th. Go right there and there is a little table with a person checking you in. 

I had a decent stay, but the room could definitely be cleaner. The bed was very clean and soft so I could sleep very well. But the floor (especially corners), seemed like they haven’t been cleaned in months. I even saw two small bugs waking.. But than again it’s a cheap price for a good location and the bed itself was clean. So I would actually recommend it when you’re on a budget.

We stayed at Haiyou Hotel in Shanghai and were quite disappointed with our experience. The hotel does have a great location — it's close to public transportation and within easy reach of the city's main attractions. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The cleanliness was very poor — our room was not properly cleaned, with dust and trash left behind, and housekeeping was inconsistent. The room itself was extremely small and cramped, which made it uncomfortable for two people. It was also stuffy and damp, with poor ventilation and a constant musty smell. Overall, while the location is convenient, the lack of cleanliness and uncomfortable conditions made our stay unpleasant. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to couples looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
