The hotel is located in Terminal 2. Looking at the map, it's very close to the runway. My child loves planes, so we specifically stayed one night hoping to photograph them. The runway view room was on the 7th floor, and you could see the runway, but it was about the same height as the waiting lounge in front, so the view wasn't great. I was a bit disappointed. In comparison, the view and floor level at Hongqiao are much better. The hotel is right downstairs from the T2 security checkpoint, which is very convenient if you're transiting or resting at T2. Another thing worth noting is that the check-in time for day rooms is after 5 PM, and check-out is at 9 AM. The front desk extended our check-out by two hours to 11 AM, which was a small consolation. As for the staff, besides a female attendant on the 7th-floor corner who greeted people when we first checked in, the staff on the 4th floor and subsequent staff on the 7th floor were quite cold. The hotel as a whole felt more like a budget hotel, which I personally don't care for.

The location is a bit far from the nearest subway station; it took us about 25 minutes by taxi to get there. However, since our flight home was at 8 AM, this was the closest option to Pudong Airport. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus early in the morning to take guests to the airport. Overall, the experience was good. It would have been even more perfect if the lobby manager had smiled a bit more while providing service. 😊
