Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts properties in Shenzhen

We brought the family here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the overall experience was fantastic. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and even upgraded our room. Our room wasn't ready until past 2 PM after we'd had lunch downstairs, but they let us go up beforehand to change the kids into their swimsuits and head to the beach, which was a huge convenience. The upgraded suite was very spacious, with a small living room, making it perfect for traveling with children. The kids especially loved the large bathtub. The executive lounge was great for grabbing a quick bite with the kids anytime. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was lovely. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be bringing the kids back often.

Overall, the room's hardware facilities are quite good, and the marble countertop feels premium. However, some other amenities in the room are outdated and old-fashioned. For example, the hairdryer is a very old model, lacking even ion technology, leaving hair frizzy. The telephone and kettle are also antique models, not even comparable to those found in some 3-star hotels. Additionally, the sink in the room drains very slowly; it's practically clogged. The front desk and lobby staff were very welcoming and friendly. But when I returned to my room at night, I couldn't get through to the front desk by phone, and the concierge I'd added on WeChat also didn't respond. The breakfast, though, was exquisite and varied.

Calice from Guest Relations was incredibly helpful. They arranged a room upgrade and guaranteed connecting rooms for us in advance, even organizing a special birthday setup. They followed up in real-time after check-in and surprised us with a cake. Their service was thoughtful, convenient, and truly dedicated. The room itself was huge and spacious, with a beautiful design and a lovely terrace – excellent value for money. The housekeeping staff were also very welcoming, and the turndown service was meticulous. The sea view was stunning, and I appreciated that there was staff dedicated to cleaning the hotel's sea area and maintaining the beach. The facilities were comprehensive.
