"Nanyuan Hotel is basically my top choice when I return to Ningbo for ancestral worship. This old five-star hotel consistently maintains its high standards. This time, I purchased a fantastic deal from Ctrip: a 399-yuan package for a business floor room with breakfast, and I stayed for two nights. Upon arrival, the bespectacled front desk staff (I forgot her employee ID) upgraded me to a deluxe king room in the main building. Overall, Nanyuan's service is excellent. I personally feel that the breakfast quality has slightly declined, with fewer options than before, but I was very satisfied with the room itself. I could even call myself an 'old Nanyuan patron,' as it has been my preferred hotel every year since it opened when I come back to Ningbo."

"The room wasn't soundproof, and I barely slept a wink all night. The sounds of doors opening and closing, and the running of the faucets next door, were constant and quite noisy 😓 Is this really a suitable place to be a hotel?"

"The room was clean and tidy, with exquisite furniture and excellent service. The restaurant on the first floor had a great ambiance, and the food was decent. The hotel's surroundings are lovely, and you can easily walk to Yuehu Park and Tianyi Pavilion scenic area. Just a short walk out the main entrance and to the left is the metro station and train station entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient. The only minor drawback was that the faucet in the bathroom extended out a bit short from the wall, making it easy for water to splash onto the counter while washing up."

"«Five-star service, 24 hours in advance, from 1000 kilometers away» On March 16th, I booked a stay at the Sheraton Ningbo Donggang Hotel for March 28th via the Ctrip app. A day before my arrival, the hotel's concierge supervisor called to ask about my preferences, such as whether I smoke, my preferred floor, and room orientation. They even informed me about the upcoming weather in Ningbo. This made me feel the warmth of the hotel even while traveling. The Sheraton Ningbo Donggang Hotel is our steadfast choice. Whenever my family visits Ningbo, whether for leisure or business, we always choose to stay here. It's truly worth it: 1. As Ningbo's first five-star hotel, its design and decor are impeccable. The materials used are carefully selected, and the craftsmanship is superb, exuding luxury at every turn. The lobby displays various awards, and one that particularly caught our eye was for being selected as the 'Best Business Hotel in the 2025 Global Luxury Hotel Awards,' which perfectly aligns with our experience. 2. The breakfast environment is very comfortable and quiet. The tables are spaced widely apart, ensuring privacy. The restaurant offers expansive views, with a small waterfall and the sound of running water in the background, making dining an absolute pleasure. 3. Upon entering the room, the first thing that impressed me was the bathroom. When we stay at a five-star hotel, we always check the bathroom design, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness. For a hotel that has been open for so many years, we feel that the equipment maintenance here is among the best in the country, truly embodying the essence of Sheraton. We've stayed at numerous Sheraton hotels in China, as well as other brands like Grand Hyatt, Hilton, Kempinski, and InterContinental, and this one stands out as the best and most worthwhile five-star hotel we've ever experienced. 4. And now, for the most important point: the price is very reasonable, and booking through Ctrip offered several discounts and pleasant surprises [grin]. In the future, whenever we visit Ningbo, we will, as always, choose the Sheraton Donggang Hotel. This isn't an advertisement for the hotel; it's genuinely how we feel!"

"This hotel is a surprise! From the moment you step into the lobby, the warm and thoughtful service makes people feel warm. The rooms are spacious and bright, elegantly furnished, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and a good night's sleep. The most surprising thing is the scenery outside the window, whether it is the night view of the city or the natural scenery, it is refreshing."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, close to all the main attractions. Our room was spotless, the bedding was clean, and all the basic amenities were there. The river view from Sanjiangkou at night was absolutely beautiful. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. What really stood out was the cheerful young woman at the entrance to the breakfast restaurant – her smile was so sweet! And the young man who helped us move our luggage when we switched rooms was very observant and proactive. Check-in and check-out were both efficient. The soundproofing was decent; we weren't significantly disturbed during the night. Overall, the experience met our expectations and offered good value for money. It's suitable for a short business trip or a family vacation. The shower pressure was amazing – so refreshing! We later switched to a connecting room, which was perfect for traveling with elders and children. We'd definitely consider staying here again on our next visit."

"I have stayed at this hotel at least 20 times over the past two years.  I have always been happy with the cleanliness of the room and the cleaning staff. They have always been very polite, friendly and very helpful. Sadly, on my last visit, I left an avocado out on the bench inside the room., I left the room for no more than two hours, and on my arrival I found that either a rat or a mouse had half eaten my avocado. I took a couple of pictures of the avocado with obvious bite marks from it and showed the front desk people. There was no apology made or any kind of reimbursement at all for this obvious health risk.  needless to say I will not be staying here again."

"I come to Ningbo several times a year, and this is always my top choice. The service is incredibly warm and attentive. The rooms are fully equipped with all the amenities, and there's even a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks! Last time I was here, the space next door on the first floor was still under renovation, but now Black Medicine Coffee is open and it's super popular. Definitely recommend!"

"The Bali staff are very polite and friendly. They went out of their way to help me with my stay. The rooms are quite large and the beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower had plenty of water pressure which is always nice. I want to call special attention to 2 people that were especially helpful and kind and really went above and beyond for hotel staff members in my view. This includes Fang Rui who helped me with ”all” my laundry and one of the manager's who name is Zhou Jianing made sure my stay and room requests were handled very quickly and easily."

"I came here for the hot springs on the third day of Chinese New Year. A week before, a room attendant added me on WeChat, and the service was excellent and very thoughtful. My room was in the main building, and the restaurant was on the second floor, both very convenient. There's a shuttle bus to take you to the hot springs. The only issue was that the air conditioning in the room was too warm; I had to open the window and sliding door for ventilation."
