"This hotel is set in a beautiful natural environment, on a limestone cliff with a lake. It felt like being in a jungle, which was lovely. The welcome was good, with butterfly tea and clear explanations. However, it's quite isolated, facing a departmental road far from the city. They offer a taxi service, but it's too expensive. This means the only accessible dining option is the hotel's own restaurant, which is a major drawback:
- The service is poor: twice, we had to go and get the menus ourselves.
- The staff seemed disengaged and were all on their phones.
- The restaurant closes at 8 PM, which is quite astounding. On our second night, we arrived at 7:50 PM, right after a group of 20 people, and were told only fried rice dishes were available because we arrived too late… we clearly have different definitions of 'late'. Imagine if we had gone on a night safari excursion, or checked in at 9 PM – we wouldn't have been able to eat, which is a real problem.
- Once ordered, the dishes didn't arrive together. My girlfriend had almost finished her meal by the time mine was served (two fried rice and chicken dishes, by the way).
Additionally, we couldn't find a hairdryer, and there was another issue: the room was poorly soundproofed; you could hear everyone as if they were right inside our room."
