I booked my aunts to stay here from Cali and they were in awe as the place is modern, sleek clean, staff are nice the place is really secured and the highlight is the food is delicious. It makes me wanna stay here for our next visit to Sydney.

Arrived internationally, turned right out of the terminal, crossed the road, and it was indeed very close. We arrived at night and stayed one night before catching an early morning domestic flight the next day. It was a five-minute walk to the free shuttle bus stop, which was super convenient. Checked baggage for domestic departures was very slow; it took 45 minutes for the queue and security check. After security, there were plenty of food options.

Choosing the right hotel for my Sydney trip really made all the difference! The Rydges World Square completely exceeded my expectations, absolutely deserves a perfect score! 📍Location is unbeatable: Right in the heart of Sydney, within walking distance to the Sydney Opera House and Hyde Park. There are tons of malls and restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. It saved so much commute time. 🏨Room Experience: We booked a deluxe twin room, and it was spacious with soft, comfortable bedding. The room was spotlessly clean, no corners missed. All the facilities were complete, and the toiletries were good quality. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was really quiet at night, perfect for a good rest. 💁♀️Service was perfect: Everything from check-in to check-out was incredibly smooth. The front desk staff were warm and professional, proactively offering to help with luggage and answering travel questions. Any request was quickly attended to, with thoughtful attention to detail. 🌿Environment is superb: The hotel lobby has a fantastic design, and the common areas are clean and tidy, creating a comfortable and upscale atmosphere. It's great for relaxing and even for taking photos. My friend and I had such a comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Sydney, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Poor service, poor attitudes, poor food, and a tired old hotel that probably needs to be revamped and get rid of their staff. Don’t waste your time.

Lovely, clean hotel with comfortable beds, pre-check-in luggage storage and located on the same street as the Victoria Cross metro station entrance which allows for quick, convenient travel to the CBD via metro. The only issues with the location is that it was hard to find at first as it was hidden behind a couple of tall apartment buildings and it's located on a steep hill, so be prepared to drag your suitcase up the hill if you're not bringing your car there. Otherwise, would recommend staying there.

First, the negatives. About half an hour after we checked in, a male staff member swiped his card and opened our room door. He said he was delivering hangers, but we hadn't requested any, so perhaps they were meant for another room and delivered by mistake. It was quite a shock regardless. I didn't report it to the staff during my stay, but afterwards, I made sure to double-lock the door every time I entered the room (before, I only locked it at night). Now, for the positives. The location is excellent, very close to Central Station with many bus and light rail options nearby, making getting around super convenient. I stayed on the eighth floor, and while I could still hear traffic noise at night, which was a bit loud, the room's soundproofing was otherwise good, as I couldn't hear any noise from next door. The room was also very spacious, with a fridge and a safe. Overall, I recommend it.

Upon arrival the room smelled like stale cigarettes and stagnant water which was extremely unpleasant. I had to prop the door open with my suitcase to get fresh air in with the window open. I ended up going to the supermarket to buy carpet deodoriser and air freshener to get the smell out. I could still smell it when I left after 2 days. When I went to get into bed it was very obvious the bed had been slept in and the pillowcase had not been changed. I had to strip the bed and make it with what was left over with the sheet that goes over the doona. I know it was NYE and paid over $600 a night for the room, but wasn’t expecting the room to not smell ok and have fresh linen.

The hotel was alright, definitely spacious and in a convenient location. The living room and bedroom is excellent in my books. However, it’s a bit dated, and the toilet shows its age. We encountered small cockroaches each evening we returned, luckily just the slow kind that you can easily catch. I appreciated the green programme that rewards guests who skip room service with vouchers, but the voucher has limited use, especially with the breakfast spread being quite limited; honestly, you’re better off heading out to nearby cafés instead. Skipping housekeeping also meant I had to dispose of my own trash, and the recycling bins near the lifts kept piling up without being cleared. Can be better.

This hotel is a bit far from the Sydney city. Didn’t like the location TBh. Not recommended.

We stayed in the Rydges World Square family room for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. The two-bedroom layout was spacious, clean, though sharing a single bathroom among four adult was a minor inconvenience. A thoughtful gesture from the hotel made our stay even more special—they surprised my son with chocolate treats and a birthday card upon check-in, which we truly appreciated. The location is excellent, close to many attractions, and the convenience of having a shopping mall right downstairs with restaurants and a supermarket added to the ease of our stay. Overall, it was a delightful and comfortable experience.
