"The room was quite alright and the price is reasonable for the location which is very near Feng Jia night market. Breakfast provided is a normal type of hotel breakfast, as expected. Overall quite alright because of the location, nothing of note for others."

"The service by all staff provided is excellent, and daily room service replenishes all free snacks and drinks. Near to raohe night market, chiate bakery and shopping malls(where uniqlo n GU were located). A local market was located just right below the hotel, and food is very easily found. Unfortunately, I did not capture any hotel rooms photo, but rooms are as described and shown by the website."

"The location is good, right outside FengChia market, but the bus to and from the HSR comes every hour and is usually delayed. Better to take a cab.
Beyond that, the temperature control in the room doesn’t exist. We set the temperature at 24 degrees, but it was freezing all 3 nights. My husband usually loves the cold weather and we sleep in aircon at home, but even he was shivering from the cold."

"Nice place to stay! It was clean and new - they are nice to also provide a baby cot for free for our baby. However, the mattress is a little too thin so we had to let baby sleep on the bed. Nonetheless, it is an awesome place to be at when in Taichung."

4 stars for staff: The email management department cannot effectively grasp the customer's needs. One question was confirmed three times, but the on-site service staff was very 👌🏻
Price 2 stars: Compared with other hoshinowas in Japan, this one in Guguan not only does not include meal charges, but also charges each item separately, causing trouble for passengers. Moreover, the taste and sophistication cannot be equated with the price, and they are a bit deceived into spending meal charges. It feels like accommodation charges in Japan include at least one stay and two meals❌

SSEANIEBEEA 5 star hotel that deserves its rating. Rooms are comparable with Sheraton/Hilton etc... it's a well-oiled machine and everyone was efficient and kind. Shout out to my namesake SEAN in the Prime restaurant on the roof who took care of us with a memorable Christmas dinner. One for any short list in Taichung.

GGuest UserFirst thing , need to thank the counter staff Ona for her good recommendation. My friend who had an accidental fall in the bathroom of the hotel needed medical attention. We wanted to go to the nearest hospital, which there was one near the hotel, but Ona on understanding my friend’s condition, suggested to go to the orthopaedic clinic which is just a stone throw aqua from the hotel. We could just walk there to have her condition examined very quickly ! Had we gone to the hospital A&E not sure how long we would have to wait ! So special thanks to Ona for being proactive and enquire more about the needs of the customers and giving the good advice !
My friend stepped on the door frame of the bath room shower and it was slippery after her room mate had a bath. Would suggest the hotel to paste an anti slip on the shower room door frame
Around the hotel is a great massage place call 湯 村。this place is slightly more expensive but hotel guest has 10 percent discount . The other foot massage parlours around are not as good as this one which has a private room for customers and the staff there professional . Would be great if the hotel could work with this place to get an even greater discount for hotel guests.
For breakfast those that love traditional Chinese breakfast of porridge with condiments would love it ! Those the prefers western would be disappointed !
Hotel is very strict about late check out. For guests staying for more than one night , I think the hotel should be more generous especially if the checkout is on Sunday as I expect there would not be so many guests Sunday to Monday
Overall the stay was comfortable, even for their standard room they have shower with bath tub, a small table with sofa .. this is very considerate , as in Taiwan , it a always great to buy late night supper from the night market and eat in at the hotel room ! There are convenience stall around the hotel and even a place selling ********* style barbecue

PPetiteJaneExcellent location with about 3 mins walk to Fengjia Night Market. The clerk at the front desk was very kind and friendly. The room is small but cozy, enough for me, a solo traveler. The public area is huge with a few sofas and the warm woody deco with a relaxing atmosphere. The pantry area offers a coffee machine, tea bags, and a fridge. They also have a laundry machine. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place close to Fengjia Night Market. There is no breakfast service but a cafe right next door, and many food options in the neighborhood.

AAnonymous UserLocation - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha).
So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market.
It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it.
Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it.
I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient.
The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad.
I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby.
I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again.
(Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card)

Ffong yongI had a great stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, very close to the tai zhung train station and can be found easily. I especially enjoyed the breakfast and the relaxing atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it!

KKuantingIt can be seen that the hotel is an old hotel. It takes several attempts to open the door with the room card sensor. There are not many choices for breakfast. During the 9 o'clock breakfast period, the items are not replenished quickly. There are not many parking spaces around. If you check in late, you need to walk a long way. The room was clean enough, but the handrail next to the toilet made it a little difficult to extract the toilet paper. The advantages are that children have tokens that can be used to twist a stamp when they check in, and the sound insulation is pretty good. The disadvantages are that the overall appearance is relatively retro, and there are no water dispensers on every floor, so you have to go to the first floor to get water.
