"It's a lovely hotel in traditional Japanese style. It has a pretty inside garden and an onsen (no private onsens for booking, only common ones for all hotel guests that are divided for males and females). Hotel provides you with a yukata and a haori for your stay (you don't rent it, they are included in price), which is very convenient. When I asked the receptionist if I can buy them, 'cause I loved them so much, she said I can take them for free if I want. I double checked to avoid any miscommunication, but she insisted that I don't have to pay extra for those. Everything in the fridge, including alcohol, is free. Hotel is a bit far from the main street, but has a transfer, so I'd say it's fine. We ordered a dinner and breakfast, and both were absolutely wonderful, had several courses."
"The room is very clean, but the facilities are a bit old. The tatami is quite good, and the quilt is of average quality and not fluffy enough. Advantages: The location is very close to several major hot springs (except Konoyu which is a little further), and the service is in place, especially the old lady who serves the meals is very attentive and thoughtful. The dinner is sumptuous and the breakfast is simple but completely filling. Disadvantages: There is no elevator on three floors. It is a challenge to carry luggage upstairs, especially when you change the hotel slippers at the door and they don't fit your feet."
"The hotel is very close to the railway station, about 7 minutes walk away. There is a convenience store and a large Starbucks coffee shop at the intersection. There are many welcome drinks for you to choose from. The female receptionist is very polite and helpful, which is worthy of praise."
"The location was right in front of the station, so I liked it.
However, it's far from the hot spring center, so it may vary depending on the person's preference.
I stayed on the 3rd floor, but it's an old building, so there's no elevator and the stairs are a bit high.
The 1st floor is operated as a cafe, and the breakfast was okay.
The room has a tatami floor.
The mattress? It was too soft, so I was a bit uncomfortable.
There's no bathroom in the room because it's a hot spring. There's only a toilet. It would be nice to have a shared bathroom for the entire hotel, but there isn't.
You can't wash if you don't go to the hot spring. I didn't know that and went there, so it was a total disaster... I didn't plan on going to the hot spring in the morning...
You have to bring your yukata up from the 2nd floor. The room is spacious."
"The hotel here is 10 points cheap and comfortable. The place is a bit bigger. I chose this hotel because it is close to where I rented a car. There is a large shopping mall and food nearby. It is very convenient. I want to go again. It's fun."
"There are more than ten stairs at the entrance of the lobby, which is not convenient for wheelchair people! There is a bath to soak! There is an elevator! The room is big! Facilities are complete! 8 minutes walk from JR station! It is convenient to find with goggle!"
"The environment is good, the ventilation service is good, the price is reasonable, the facilities are poor, and the shower head is broken and leaking should be repaired in time."

"Every day, there is a shuttle bus waiting for passengers getting off the express trains. The hotel is far from the station and is located deep in the town, but it is also very quiet. With the shuttle bus, you can go in and out for shopping at any time, which is very convenient. The hotel feels newly renovated and has an outdoor hot spring upstairs. The two meals may be average. Due to the agency of Ctrip, the specific meals are not clearly marked. We ordered a vegetarian dinner, which was not very enjoyable!"

Outstanding
KK LouThere is no breakfast nor dinner provided by this onsen hotel, and restaurants close a bit early. If you’re looking for an onsen meal, you maybe disappointed if you staying here. Beware if you’re a foodie.
The sound insulation is poor, please keep your voice down. Since the first night I arrived was windy and rainy, and the curtain for blocking the sun is made of bamboo, it kept hitting on the window all night long.
There is no elevators and the stairs is very steep, be careful if you bringing many luggages.
Although the servers do not understand English, they are very friendly and willing to help! Overall, I enjoyed a lot while the staying. Thank you!
GGuest UserNice, modern and new hotel in Kinosaki onsen with great hospitality from the hotel owner and his staff. I was welcomed by the owner at the door when I arrived, and they even prepared a beautiful greeting card on my arrival. Welcome drink was provided and the owner recommended good restaurants and provided the USP of each onsen in Kinosaki. The room is spacious, clean and new! I especially like the Japanese style of the hotel. Yutaka and 1-day onsen pass were provided for my stay. As the next day I had to move to another hotel, the owner very kindly helped me to transport my luggage to another hotel near the JR station.
Overall, excellent stay, excellent people and excellent breakfast! :)
Would love to visit Kinosaki onsen again and stay with Utsuroi Tsuchiya.
GGuest UserAn old hot spring hotel, a little inside, but very quiet. There is also a 10% discount for snow crabs at the door, which can be packaged and delivered.
I have to praise the crab dinner of the hotel, which is of very high standard, even the desserts are online. I was very full, but because it was so delicious, I finally finished the rice and pasta. The wine and drinks are also very cost-effective. It is worth staying once during the snow crab season. There are several hot springs, which can be reserved and can be visited at leisure. There are also private and public hot springs. It is very comfortable to relax in a hot spring.
SShaojialinTraveling with my mother, Kinosaki Onsen ♨ is definitely the most surprising choice, and the hotel is even more so! Special thanks to the service staff Rose and GouGou, although the language is not fluent, they are very patient to answer one by one with the translator. I would like to praise the hotel's meals, the breakfast and dinner arrangements are particularly good! There are pictures to prove it! The environment of the hotel is also nothing to say, clean and tasteful. In short, it was a great trip, grateful to meet!
LLivyC75The ryokan style rooms were a lovely touch. The inclusive dinner came with so many courses that we were absolutely stuffed every single night and the fact that a member of staff helps explain all the dishes and prepares them in front of us felt like a real lovely touch of authenticity and luxury. There are no individual bathrooms in the rooms aside from a sink and toilet but the hotel Onsen is easy to access and comfortable to use. The staff also make the bed after dinner every night and anytime we had questions for reception, they were always happy to help, especially with train station transfer and recommendations and vouchers for different restaurants in town. The hotel rooms have a great view of the mountains as it is slightly off the main road. I would definitely recommend this for couples traveling.
GGuest UserVery nice Japanese hotel with good service and facilities (public hot spring bath where women and men are separate and several private hot spring baths that I recommend to book in advance). We also had an amazing massage in the hotel spa. The down side would be that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japansese futons) and that the personnel doesn't speak very good English (but are very nice and are trying their best to help)
AAnonymous UserAbsolutely loved my stay at this ryokan! The traditional Japanese room made for a truly memorable night. Room is very clean and comfortable, and the staff were so warm and accommodating. Amazingly it also included is an all-day pass to the seven public onsens and free shuttle bus (every half an hour from the ryokan). Ryokan is just a short walk from the JR station and Kinosaki itself is such a quaint, charming town, and staying here really completed the experience! Highly recommended!
GGuest UserI stayed here for one night with my husband and our 9-year-old daughter, and we loved our visit. The hotel was accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage as we arrived early. Our room was very clean, the staff were attentive, and we could tell they wanted us to have a nice stay. The location was perfect - set back on a quiet street but right in the middle of all the onsens and shopping. We opted for the crab dinner, and it was an absolute feast. We ate for hours and still couldn't finish everything. They asked if we wanted to keep it for breakfast (which, of course, we did), so they served it in the morning along with the breakfast they planned. It was wonderful. They have a small onsen in the building, which was nice because the three of us could enjoy one bath together before going to the gender-separated onsens in town. I highly recommend staying here for a lovely and authentic Japanese experience.
RRD Travel ZoneIt is a bit far from the JR station, but the hotel offers shuttle bus services to the main street and the ”Seven Public Baths” and free to entry the 7 public Onsen
The buffet dinner is incredibly delicious with a wide variety of food, and the quality is high! Please give it a try!

TTianxiamishikeThis hotel boasts a prime location on the Takeno coast, offering stunning ocean views. If you have time, you can walk across the river to the coast near Takeno Kyoka Village, where the scenery is equally beautiful yet remarkably uncrowded, allowing you to quietly enjoy the views. It's conveniently located just one JR stop (10 minutes) from Kinosaki Onsen, yet few Chinese tourists venture here. You'll occasionally spot some European and American tourists on the streets, along the beach, or at the hotel. The hotel service is excellent, with a shuttle bus to and from Takeno Station. The hotel also has its own onsen bath, where you can relax and listen to the waves. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are outstanding, especially the all-crab dinner – the incredibly fresh and delicious Kazumi crab is irresistible and incredibly satisfying. I highly recommend staying at the Oku Kinosaki Seaside Hotel when visiting Takeno.
