This is an art hotel that takes more than ten minutes to walk from Hongcun. The hotel is full of design. I like the decoration style of the hotel very much. The bathroom is very particular about facilities and supplies. The dry and wet separation is very well done. It can be seen that the owner is a very tasteful person. The public area of the hotel is a highlight of the hotel, and there is also a kitten to enhance the popularity of the hotel. The breakfast of the hotel is sufficient and rich in variety. The only drawback is that houses are being built around, and there is a blender working at six in the morning. However, this is only temporary. When the surrounding houses are repaired, it should be quiet again.

I came here more than ten years ago and revisited this time. Apart from the scary entrance fee, the inn where I stayed this time was a surprise.
The environment is great👍It is right at the entrance of Xidi gate. In front of the inn is the archway and the performance pond for the evening light show. The entrance is grand, and the inside is unique, see the pictures. It’s really not too pleasant to sit by the pool for afternoon tea (◍•ᴗ•◍)
The waiters are very warm and considerate.
Breakfast is ordered in advance. You can't force the food in the inn to be similar to the hotel. It's okay.
Tickets will be delivered to the hotel, and pick-up service from Yixian East Railway Station is also provided. There is a sightseeing bus from the hotel that picks you up at the entrance of the ancient town.
All in all, highly recommended.

First of all, we have to praise the owner of Minsu Hotel. He was very responsive to our requests. He helped us with our luggage, arranged carpooling, and asked us if we needed to change our supplies (because we stayed there for two consecutive days). Secondly, the decoration style of Minsu Hotel is also great. You can see the staggered eaves through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The mattress is very comfortable to sleep on, and the quality of the toiletries is also very good. If there is any shortcoming, it is that the induction mirror is too sensitive. For girls who love to be pretentious, there is a lack of a makeup mirror and a full-length mirror.

As a homestay, the facilities are quite good, equipped with smart toilets and bathtubs. The owner is also very considerate and drove a battery car to the parking lot to pick us up. The location of the homestay is in the back mountain, which is relatively quiet. There is also a coffee shop at the intersection, which is also a great convenience for coffee fans.

A resort and business hotel with great facilities and service. The weather was cold, so the air conditioner was turned on in advance, and it was very warm and comfortable when I entered the room. The hot water was good, the bed was clean and comfortable, and there were large floor-to-ceiling mirrors on both sides of the bathroom door, which was very friendly for girls to put on makeup and dress up! Location: This guesthouse is a 5 minute drive from the main Hongcun Village entrance and the owners kindly drove us there! Although this hotel isn’t inside the village itself, it’s still convenient and in a quiet location!
It’s a 1 hour drive from the Huangshan North Railway station and 1 hour drive to the Huangshan Tangkou Transfer Center.
Food: There’s a restaurant on-site which has an extensive dinner menu. Honestly, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner without leaving the premises! Very convenient and the food is good quality- highly recommend.
Amenities: The guesthouse is newly renovated and has top notch furnishings. Everything is clean and comfortable. The floor heating was nice to have in December!

Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

The room has heating, and it's very comfortable to live in. It's more convenient to live in Hongcun by car, and you can go to several surrounding villages quickly. The ancient buildings in Xidilu Village are better preserved, and there are fewer people.

They are grand, natural, modest and young and mature. The owner of the B&B has never stopped studying after graduating from college. Her longitude, latitude and altitude support her attitude and cognition towards the B&B. A few young people worked persistently on a deserted village and farmland, gathered sand to form a pagoda, and a stream flowed into the river. They finally created the peaceful and harmonious Tachuan Academy, creating a spiritual home that advocates truth, goodness and beauty. Mr. Liang Shuming wrote a book ”Will the World Be Better?” 》. GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay at Pig’s Inn - it was sadly just for one night but we really enjoyed it! The staff were very kind and went to a lot of effort to cook for us, even though we were the only guests. Breakfast was especially great. The hot water was not really ‘hot hot’ - just tepid, but the staff did everything they could to fix it. The drains from the bathroom smelt pretty bad - but otherwise the bedroom was really comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel organised a taxi for 200 Y from Huangshan North Railway, which was great. We then used Didi to order taxis and get to Xidi village and Huangshan mountain, which is great if you don’t speak the language. Thank you for having us!

CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

JJiutiaomaoBanyan Tree was the most surprising part of our short trip to Huangshan. I also read some thunderbolts and negative reviews before coming here. After staying here, I feel that Banyan Tree is still the hotel with the best comprehensive conditions in Huangshan.
Let me first talk about the service that I value most. It is very good overall, and the front desk deducts half a point. I added the housekeeper WeChat before checking in. The housekeeper was very considerate and helped us with all the reservations. Because it was my parents' wedding anniversary, he also helped us upgrade the room. The room cleaning staff was cheerful and careful. They would replace the room aromatherapy essential oils according to the guests' preferences to meet all our needs~ I specifically praise Miss Zhang Meiling🥰 The aromatherapy that the little sister put was really great. Before leaving, we specially bought some to take home.
Let's talk about the hotel hardware and environment. Although the hotel is not short, the rooms are generally good, without a sense of oldness. The interior is a typical Chinese solid wood style, and the exterior is Hui style white walls and gray tiles. Our room was upgraded from a double bedroom in Hongcun to a double bedroom in Lucun. The room has two floors. The door leads to the living room on the second floor. Outside the terrace is the rapeseed flowers in Lucun. You will be amazed as soon as you enter the house. The first floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is spacious and quiet and very suitable for vacation.
Finally, let me talk about the hotel's catering. The first meal in Huangshan was dinner at Baiyun Restaurant. My family was very satisfied. The stinky mandarin fish was firm, and the celery and bamboo shoots were tender. The hotel gave a mousse cake, which tasted great. In comparison, the breakfast was indeed a bit lacking. There were not many varieties, and the taste was just okay.

NNatascha B.Very nice hotel, perfectly located opposite of the Hongcun Scenic area. The staff was very welcoming and set up a Wechat group for infos and questions. Our room was very clean and cosy. The hotel has a free afternoon-tea from 2-5pm and you have to make a reservation in advance because the time seats are limited. It is located in a cost tea house. The tea and snacks served were nice and delicious. The outdoor pool was refreshing and clean, with a nice view. To Hongcun you can just take a 5 minute walk and leave the car at the hotel. There is also a Covid-Testing station directly next to the entrance of the Scenic area. For breakfast they had a big selection of local food, we really liked it. The only negative point we have to say that the tea in the morning tasted not good, they didn’t use filtered water, so it had a moldy old taste. All in all I can really recommend the hotel and would book it again. The location and the staff was really great!
