Property is not willing to consider a refund when needing to cancel due to a family emergency more than a month out and during the most traveled time of the year. Never had such a terrible experience when contacting a hotel. They will also not hold luggage before or after checkin. That’s terrible customer service.

Great place to stay in Zermatt. Walk from railway station was short and easy. Some might be put off by one hill, but my wife and I are 68 and 69 years old, respectively, and we had no issues at all. Check-in was quick, simple, and flawless. The unit itself was clean, efficiently designed, and well equipped. Restaurants in Zermatt are quite pricey, and the benefit of a full kitchen with nearby grocery stores made easy work of meals. Our only issue was that only a single pillow for each of us was provided, and that was less than supportive. There were a couple of throw pillows, but you can’t use those for sleeping. In short, we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Oh, as an aside, it was pointed out that our room was not a “Matterhorn view” room, which seemed silly to us because all you had to do is open the door to the balcony, and there stood the mountain in all its glory. I suppose no one wants to be labeled as misleading, but we had all the Matterhorn views you could want.
