The room smelled heavily of cigarettes, and there were hairs on the sheets and pillowcases, which was disgusting, but everything else was worth the price. The proprietress was nice, the inn facilities were very thoughtful, the details of the public areas were carefully arranged, the location was good, the price/performance ratio was high, and there were not so many bars in the ancient town to bother you when you go to bed at night.

Very nice hotel in a central location, close to the North gate. We stayed here the two nights before our trekking in the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the two nights after coming back from the trekking. For our second stay we received a free upgrade of the room. This time we had a balcony and a bathtub. The room was a bit more at the front of the hotel so also a bit noisier during the evening and night. And light was coming in through the bathroom window. But it did not bother us and we slept very well as the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is terrific. We would definitely come back here for our next stay. Highly recommended!

This courtyard guesthouse is super close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, easily reachable in about five or six minutes on foot. It's really convenient for getting to Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. If you're not driving, besides taxis, there's also public transportation available. There's a direct shuttle bus to Cangshan, and you can take the C2 bus to Erhai. Dining options are plentiful and very convenient, right across from the main gate of the ancient city. The owner couple are very warm and provide excellent service. We're a family of three and chose the triple room, which was very spacious and we were extremely satisfied. Definitely worth choosing!

The hotel is only about a 10-minute walk from Lijiang Old Town, so it's super close. It's very clean, the owner is really welcoming, and it's great value for money. Plus, you can park here, which is very convenient. The Old Town is beautiful at night!

Very good value for money. Room is clean and comfortable, with big TV and fully functional air conditioning or heating. Beds were comfortable and sufficient hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Directly on old town street and really close to Zhu family garden. Owner is friendly and dropped us off at the train station for free!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful 2-night stay here. The hotel is located inside Lijiang Ancient Town, which made the experience even more special. The owner kindly picked us up along with our big luggage. It was such a fun ride—we honestly enjoyed it so much haha. During check-in, we were welcomed with an orange, which was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture. The owner was extremely helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with renting traditional costumes and arranging a photography session around Lijiang Ancient Town, which made our trip even more memorable. After we came back from Yulong Snow Mountain, the owner also gave us very thoughtful advice. He reminded us not to shower immediately and to take some time to relax first, explaining that showering right away could cause altitude sickness or even a cold due to the sudden temperature change. We really appreciated this care and concern for our well-being. What we felt most grateful for was the kindness shown to us regarding our laundry. When we asked if there was a washing machine, they said yes, and we managed to start the first wash cycle before heading out. When we returned at night, all our clothes had already been washed and were ready for us to hang. We were shy and happy at the same time 😆 because otherwise, we would have had to stay up late just to settle our laundry. Overall, this stay felt very warm and personal—almost like being taken care of by family. Truly a memorable experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang Ancient Town.

I stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!

The family suite was very spacious, and the electric blanket kept us wonderfully warm. The oxygen machine and humidifier were a real lifesaver. The TV was incredibly practical, loaded with tons of apps, which made the cold evenings much more enjoyable. The owners were very welcoming; they'd always greet us whenever we saw them at the entrance, where there was also free hot tea available. It's a shame we couldn't use the small balcony because of the cold weather. The best part is its ideal location, just the right distance from the ancient city: any further in and you'd constantly be stuck in traffic during the day, but any further out would be too far. Renting a car is convenient for getting around Shangri-La, and luckily, the hotel offers free parking.

Amazing wooden design all over the place! Comfortable bed, no English spoken but with the translation app communication was OK and the owner is very willing to help! Calm place to stay nearby the old center, with a tea/rest room on the 3rd floor facing the Confucius temple lake.

This guesthouse boasts traditional Bai architecture. The staff member was incredibly warm and friendly, offering to help with luggage and giving us tips on things to do nearby. Our room was also very tidy and clean. The lobby on the ground floor has a large tea table where guests can gather to chat over tea, with complimentary fruits and snacks available. Best of all, the guesthouse is located near the East Gate bus stop, so we only had to pull our luggage about 20-30 meters along the cobblestone path to reach the ancient town. We had a very comfortable and hassle-free stay. Next time my family visits Dali, we'll definitely choose this place again!
