🛋 Facilities: It's definitely an older hotel, and you can see signs of wear and tear, so be cautious if that bothers you. The room can get a bit hot at night!
🛀 Bathing: You can ask the hotel for a disposable bathtub liner, which is very reassuring. After a bath, close the curtains and you can have a good night's sleep.
💡 Summary: For this window view, I'd be willing to come again. The facilities may be old, but the service is excellent, and the scenery is priceless.

GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel's facilities are quite comprehensive. First off, the room size is really good. Stepping into the room, it feels very cozy.
Hygiene: The bathroom was also cleaned very thoroughly, spotless and tidy.
Environment: The service is exceptional. Check-in at the front desk was super fast, which is exactly what you need when traveling – to get to your room and relax quickly. Everything felt much more comfortable because of it.
Service: They even provided complimentary snacks.

GGuest UserThe hotel is just a three-minute drive from the entrance of Maijishan Grottoes. The owner is very hospitable and drove us to the entrance when we went to visit the grottoes.
Before booking, I called the boss in advance and he suggested that we only book the 80 yuan cave ticket. After checking in on the first day of Qingming Festival, we were sent to the entrance of the grotto scenic area at 8:10 on the second day. It was less than 10 o'clock when we finished visiting and went down the mountain. At this time, the queue at the entrance was expected to take three hours to go up the mountain, so it was very important to choose to check in at the entrance of the scenic area.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent; right outside, you can catch buses to destinations like Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the airport, the train station, and Xuanquanzi Scenic Area.
The hotel interior is also quite new, and the bedding is good.
Downsides: The water wasn't hot enough. They required a 30 RMB deposit for each room key card, which is something I haven't seen in years. For such a large hotel, it felt really petty.
The front desk service wasn't bad, but it felt a bit forced and uncomfortable. I don't know why, but they barely smiled, which made me wonder if the management was mistreating them? It just made for an uncomfortable experience.
They offer a station drop-off service, which I initially thought was a nice perk. However, the communication was unclear, and I wasn't sure if the car was even there. When you're traveling in an unfamiliar place and have a train to catch, punctuality is crucial. No one could give me a clear answer. In the end, I had to repeatedly press the front desk in the morning before they could confirm. It left a very bad impression; the entire management seems to have issues.

Thank goodness the boss for waiting for so long to help us check in. We dined here the next day. Four of us had copper pot hot pot. We were very satisfied and the seasoning was very fragrant. Tutu looked at us eagerly under the table while we were eating. It was so cute!

It was also relatively quiet when sleeping. The service attitude was also great. The boss lady was very nice and made us coffee. The breakfast variety was also very rich. There were also many apricots in the yard. The boss lady picked a lot for us. They were delicious and we ate a lot. When we left, we went to eat, so we called a car ourselves. As a result, the driver of the car we called had a very bad attitude. The boss lady immediately called a brother to take us to the place where we ate, which provided us with full emotional value. It was great~!

GGuest UserI highly recommend Zhongzhou International Hotel!!! I first saw it recommended on another platform, then saw its high ratings and numerous positive reviews on Ctrip, so I decisively booked a three-night stay. It turns out that decision was absolutely correct.
Before my trip, I called the hotel to arrange airport pickup and a West Route day tour. For inquiries about shows or other attractions, different departments would follow up. The day before my flight, a staff member called to confirm the pickup person's mobile number, and after landing, they proactively called to confirm my location. All the hotel staff are well-trained and enthusiastic. The room facilities are complete, clean, tidy, and odor-free, and they provided six bottles of water and snacks. The complimentary steam eye masks and foot bath tub were a pleasant surprise. Booking ”Again Dunhuang” and ”Melodies of Dunhuang” tickets through the hotel offered a discount and included pick-up and drop-off, saving about 60 yuan in taxi fares. This time, I was incredibly lucky as my ”Melodies of Dunhuang” tickets were upgraded to the VIP section!!!! The experience was absolutely perfect and unparalleled!!! Since it was the off-season, the hotel also provided a free West Route day tour, though tickets were self-paid. We traveled in a 48-seater bus and visited Western Thousand Buddha Caves, Yangguan Pass, Yumenguan Pass, and Yardang National Geological Park. We even encountered a sandstorm in Yardang, a rare and amazing experience. The hotel provided a great sense of security throughout the trip. I recommend it to every tourist visiting Dunhuang!

KKeng TWe stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

Buffet breakfast is good with drinks, cold and hot dishes. Toilet and Bathroom separate into two rooms is a good design. If larger toilet and bathroom will be perfect. The free self service cloth washing and drying is good. The free pickup service from Airport to Hotel is good. The 2 free shoe cover that cost 10 RMB is good. The 2 free seat western route daily tour that cost 160 RMB is excellent also.
