Satisfied!
Excellent and friendly staff, although they could not speak english fluently, they dont bother to communicate with us.
If you want to experience excellent hospitality, should consider Elong hotel!
Thank you for Allan, whose super patient helpful, 1 lady whose stand by as guest relation, super helpful. We got trouble room on first night, there was water leaking, and within 5 mins she resolved the problem.
We got 1 level up floor with better view and theres no more leaking or any other trouble.
We also received b’fast compensation and coffee robot voucher.
It was small token, but truly meaningful. Thank you si much for your quick problem resolve and gesture :)
Room super good, cleanliness acceptable, area super good (walkable to metro Line 1 and 2), i would like to back there again for my next visit.
Thank you Elong team, keep up the good hospitality!

Great location with short walking distance to the metro and Nanjing road east shopping street. Many small eateries nearby. This is a very busy area, we were on the 8th floor and the was not disturbed by noise in the night. Hotel Staff were helpful. Room size was slightly smaller than other cities but still comfortable. Smart automation with voice control in the room was great. Some of the fixtures such as the shower doors and sink are a bit old with rust at the bottom but functioning normally. However the smart toilet was very annoying, the button controls next to side are not visible since it was next to the wall and had to take a photo using my phone to see what they were, furthermore there were no instructions on what the buttons meant. Could not get the bidet to work. The toilet lid did not raise when nearby and kept closing even when seated on the seat and knocking on my back which is unhygienic. Hopefully the hotel can address this which otherwise marred a good experience.

I had the pleasure of staying at this unique boutique hotel during my recent trip to China, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel’s distinctive character—an enchanting blend of rustic charm and ancient elegance.
The architecture and interior design are steeped in history, with weathered stone walls, antique wooden beams, and traditional decor that transport you back in time. Yet, despite its aged aesthetic, the hotel is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully curated. Every corner tells a story, and there’s a quiet beauty in its timeworn textures and peaceful ambiance.
Service was warm and attentive, with staff who made me feel genuinely welcome and went out of their way to ensure my comfort. My room was cozy, well-appointed, and tastefully designed to reflect the historic atmosphere while offering all the modern amenities I needed.
The atmosphere throughout the hotel was serene, offering a perfect retreat from the bustle of the city. Whether I was enjoying tea in the tranquil courtyard or simply admiring the vintage touches in the hallway, I felt relaxed and inspired.
Highly recommended for travelers looking for something beyond the typical hotel stay—this place is more than a place to sleep; it’s an experience in itself.

Convenient location near the bund, with a shopping mall (Raffles City) just opposite. Staff were friendly and helpful, bottled water is FOC. Kudos to the security staff at night who helped to deliver our toiletries/ water requests.

we enjoy our stay here, room is spacious, clean and service is great. transportation is convenient, didi is easy to set. my taobao packages received and when there is problem with the delivery, they helped us with the communication with the taobao supplier. pverall very recommended hotel. definitely will come to stay again. thanks
I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel! What I loved the most was the super comfy bed. I had a deep, restful sleep and woke up feeling fresh and energized.
As a Muslim, I only had the vegetables and bread for breakfast since most of the spread was Chinese style with pork. But I truly appreciated that the reception staff could speak English, it made communication so much easier.
Also, thank you for preparing a packed meal for me when I checked in late and missed the night buffet. That thoughtful gesture really made my night.
Overall, this hotel is excellent and I fully recommend it for a comfortable and peaceful stay!

Exceptional Stay - Outstanding Service!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment i arrived, the staffs were incredibly helpful, attentive and professional.
Their warm hospitality and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly made our stay feel comfortable.
Breakfast perfectly fine for elderly and provided late porridge. Laundry service is good too!
Location is also perfect, walking distance to major attractions.
Though the room size is slightly smaller than kthers, it does not affect our stay. Understand it located at golden area.
Overall, we would stay again if go shanghai, and highly recommend to anyone looking for great service and convenience.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Always ready to help. Room perfectly clean. Great value for money. Breakfasts were served in the cafe opposite. The hotel was one of the stops on our honeymoon, the staff gave us flowers, a box of chocolates, made swans out of towels. It was very nice. Upon check-out they also gave us a postcard and Shanghai cream. I have only pleasant impressions of the hotel. I recommend it.

Booked 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and elderly father. The hotel seems pretty new. Both rooms were spacious, clean, no smoke smells and very comfortable! Room was situated away from the noisy streets. The service was great as well, where they provided us rooms on the same floor for convenience on request. They also replenished water with each room cleaning. Hair dryer was fantastic as well, similar to Dyson.
Location was great as it was a short walk away from Nanjing east road and the bund.
Breakfast spread was the usual as per the other hotels we had stayed at in shanghai and Su Zhou. More Chinese styled food, not much western options or an egg station.
Overall it was a comfortable stay and will be happy to stay again if we are back in Shanghai.

WWilliams GabrielOverall good hotel. The room they gave me have an awful window view and the gym is not good. Apart from this two things. Is ok to try. When checking out they want you to give them 5 star review for an exchange of something which could be annoying
KKhosIt was very worth the for 4 night stay. Breakfast was very excellent, tasty and delicious deserts, you can have any food type, drinks you could get. Service were excellent, such as receptions, they are easy to communicate in English compared to how difficult it can be to understand people at China. The location itself is very perfect. There is a nearby mall only 1 crossroad ahead you can get anything you like at there such as Starbucks, Subway, Pizza hut, KFC, Supermarket, Mcdonalds, and the metro is only few walks away which is SUPER convenient for us to transport. Also if you're visiting the Shanghai Disneyland they will transport you there without any charge. When we arrive in Shanghai again, we will definitely come back next time. Thanks to the staff members for excellent service.
RReiseplanerThis hotel is a gem. The location is perfect (less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station and plenty of coffee and restaurant options in the area; count ~1.5h to and from PVG airport), the room and shared facilities (bonus point for the toilet paper that is better than many 4-star and 5-star hotels) are spotless clean, the bed is comfortable (different pillows are even provided), and the price/value ratio is almost unbeatable. There is even free tea and drinking water available.
Please note that having taken the upper bed window room, packing a bag can be a challenge compared to the lower bed one I imagine. Also, all usb ports available are USB A.
Few points can be improved: the windows let a flow of air coming in even if closed (the duvet is warm though), a little usb bed light would be useful (as it is not convenient to turn off the lights once in bed, have to do it before), the tv didn’t work in my case but that wasn’t an issue for me, the towels are disposable and normal towels would be a huge plus (pack a small towel should you want one), and lastly, whilst there’s no noise permeating in-between rooms, corridor movements can be easily heard (nothing that earplugs cannot solve).
Overall 10/10.

Very Good
PPoh Yong Wenlocation: convenient and easy to get to. Didn't take long to book a didi ride when im leaving the premises. Some of touristy spots are 10ish minutes ride away
Service: there were 3 service staff at the counter at any time. A manager by the name Christina was exceptionally helpful with directing me to the places I needed. Posting mail was convenient.
China post is 5mins away at the main junction.
Hotel cleanliness is top notched too
KKrit J.It’s a nice place to stay in Shanghai, a bit far from Metro but can walk 10-15 minute, walk to Xintiandi with 30 minute or 1 metro station to Xintiandi, 2 stations to Wukang
Room very comfy and good amenity as well, next time I will comeback to stay this hotel.
PParkChloeThe hotel was really good.
The bund view from my room was amazing, and the room was really spacious as well as clean. Thanks for all the great services and warm welcome.
I also used their facilities including swimming pool, sauna, gym and bar. All of them well maintained.
I would like to visit again :)
GGuest UserThe hotel room had a very good view and a large tub. Breakfast was good with champagne served. More importantly, the service by Jennie, Deslin and Flora was warm and friendly and made the stay a pleasant one.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a great environment, and it feels like a quiet retreat in a busy city. As soon as you go out, you will see Binjiang Avenue, which is very comfortable for a walk. The transportation is quite convenient, and you can reach the subway station by bike or on foot. The surrounding takeaways are also quite developed, and robots can deliver meals directly to the door of the room.
GGuest UserWe booked a Parent-Kid Suite, which was advertised to accommodate four adults, but throughout our stay, only three towels were provided. Additionally, the only bathroom is located right next to one of the bedrooms, with no door and a fully transparent shower space. This setup is extremely awkward and inconvenient unless you’re traveling with very young children. The noise from the bathroom also inevitably disturbs whoever is sleeping in that bedroom.
Another disappointment was the check-in process. We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM, but the front desk informed us that our room was still not ready due to a late check-out from the previous guests. This was frustrating, especially after a long flight, as we had expected to check in on time and freshen up immediately.
That said, aside from the strange room layout, the hotel does have its positives. The location is great, with a partial view of The Bund, and the price is reasonable for this area.
Overall, while the hotel has potential, the room design and service need improvement.
MMochafrappppThe room was much older than expected and looked very worn. For the amount we paid I expected the room to at least be more presentable. It did not look like the hotel photos anymore. There was also no conditioner provided, nor body lotion, just shampoo, body wash and hand soap. Toothbrushes can be picked up from the reception. Plug points require a lot of strength to insert, and plugs need to be inserted at an angle. Had to get help to put in our plugs.
That being said, our 2nd floor service ladies were prompt and helpful. The room was also as big as you see in the photos. Bed was comfortable, check in was efficient, breakfast noodles were great. Added on for additional breakfast for 2 nights and extended the room to 2pm check out for 99Y. We were on the 2nd floor close to the lift and there was noise until around 10+pm but other than that it was bearable. The breakfast was also on the 2nd floor.
Location was also great. 5-7min walk straight to the Bund. On this street you can easily see the oriental Pearl tower once you exit the hotel. Nanjing East (Huawei showroom & Daimaru) is right behind the hotel. Manner Coffee and Chagee are both 1 street away (in opposite directions). DIDI can easily pick/drop u off in front of the hotel. It was the weekend and we did not experience any road closures. The hotel is also next door to a branch of a famous crab restaurant chenglonghangxie. Lailaixiaolong, animate, shendacheng are all within walking distance. While we were there, there were 2 separate filmings happening over 2 days. Easy enough to get to Pudong as well. Overall enjoyed our stay, but wish the room was not so worn out.
