The location is truly great — very central and within walking distance to all main attractions, shops and eateries. That part was a big plus.
However, several things were disappointing. At the time of booking I was asked whether I preferred a room near the lift or away from it. I selected “away”, yet my room ended up being directly opposite the lift. If the preference isn’t taken into account, it’s unclear why the hotel asks at all.
What bothered me much more was the bed situation. I booked a King room fully expecting a proper king-size bed, but instead there were two single beds pushed together. It was uncomfortable to sleep, constantly sliding into the gap between the mattresses — not ideal for a 4-night stay.
Housekeeping was also odd: the room was cleaned only after 3 nights, and coffee/milk supplies were provided only for 2 days, so there was no coffee on the third morning.
There is no air conditioning in the room, and it gets very hot at night. A fan was provided, but it’s too noisy to run while sleeping. Opening the windows didn’t help either due to traffic noise and the blinds slamming loudly in the wind.
Overall, the location is fantastic, but the room comfort and some basic expectations were not met.
The Angus Inn is ideally situated. It's directly opposite the Queensgate Mall and only a few minutes walk from the Lower Hutt Bowling Club where we were attending a function. The Inn has all the facilities that you need such as a laundry and a restaurant. The booking went like clockwork with no hassles. An enjoyable stay.

My daughter and I stayed for four nights during our five-day trip to Wellington, and the hotel met all my expectations. First, its central location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Old Bank. There's a bus stop downstairs, making it easy to get to the airport and train station, and most attractions are within walking distance. Second, it was clean, spacious, and quiet. Being on the 21st floor, the air and sunlight were lovely, and we slept very well. Third, the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and basic tableware, allowing us to prepare simple meals. All in all, I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Ramada Wellington and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit. The room was comfortable, and housekeeping is done every three days, with towels available on request if needed earlier.
There were a few hiccups—utensils could’ve been cleaner, and the aircon/heat pump wasn’t working when we checked in on a Sunday. It took a couple of days to get fixed, but the team did provide a fan and portable heater in the meantime.
Overall, a decent spot for short stays with a central location and warm hospitality.
We arrived early at the hotel , the staff were very friendly and checked us in early which was great!
It is perfect location for flights as the hotel is actually in the airport, lift straight to check in and departure lounge.
There is a shuttle bus that goes from airport to Wellington station and stops at locations in between for museum etc.
Stayed here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend.

Had a great visit to Wellington. Enjoyed the hotel and the service was excellent. As with most Hotels we have stayed at recently they are a bit dated. Room was very clean, room service was good and the bathroom was excellent and looked to have been renovated in recent years. All in all very happy with our stay.

Stayed in Room 507 on the 5th floor. It's a mixed dormitory of 4 beds (2 bunks) with an ensuite of a bathtub with shower, small sink, mirror, toilet, liquid soap, and a power plug. The room has 2 wardrobes with shelving, a table, a mounted wall mirror amd 4 power plugs. Also has little beautiful views of the sea.

A very satisfying stay experience, a very old hotel with a long history and traditional culture. I am very happy to experience life in this environment. There are no windows, no landscape design and a big bed.

Room is very clean. Daily room service is good. Mattresses' comfort could be better. Location is great, close to Lambton Quay, lots of shops and restaurants. We particularly like the luggage storage, very convenient. Will stay again. Front desk staff very helpful.

刘刘Hotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.
AAvenJWI recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The location is excellent—right near the town center, which made it very convenient for dining and shopping. Despite being so close to everything, the hotel was quiet and comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a busy day.
The hotel itself was very clean and well looked after, with all the facilities you’d expect for a comfortable stay.

LLIThe odor in the room is relatively large, there are no windows, the floor is very old, there is no carpet, the room does not know what the house changed, and the water pipes on the roof are bare. In short, the accommodation environment is uncomfortable, and the water pipes are noisy at midnight The house is also very soundproof. The price is relatively low, set at 378. However, there is a public kitchen, which is conveniently located at the intersection of cuba st andmanners st, and there is a stop sign. The hotel entrance is not easy to find, in the sports shop REBEL.

GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly, welcoming & very efficient. They took the time to go out of their way to make us comfortable.
The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!
GGuest UserWe have always enjoyed staying at QT Museum Hotel. We were given the option to upgrade to a Seaview room on the top floor with an additional charge. Seeing it is a more quiet room compared to my booking request on the 1st floor near road traffic and rubbish bin area, I paid the extra for the upgrade per night for 2 nights.
Our room was not serviced well the following day. Rubbish bin in the bathroom being the only one was not emptied. The Bath and Shower gel was not replenished, we had to asked for it to be refilled. the cushions on the bed was still on the floor from the night before, the ironing board was still left out - I did not put it back as the iron was still very hot after ironing my dress for my conference that morning. The gym facilities was very tired with all towels being used and the used towels bin was overflowing.
I was very disappointed with my stay this trip, using shortage of staff since Covid is a very old excuse now. Systems and procedures should be in placed by management to ensure the 5 star ratings is upheld. No point upselling or selling more rooms if they cannot keep customers happy to come back again. This was not only my opinion but that of my colleagues. very disappointing!

GGuest UserFirst of all, the entrance is a staircase, so it is difficult to drag a suitcase.
There was a Korean staff member at the desk, and he was very friendly.
There is an elevator, but it is old, so I only used it to move luggage.
I was on the 1st floor, so I felt like I was on the 2nd floor.
There is a musty smell coming from the hallway.
The desk in the room wasn't cleaned and there was food on it.
The worst part was I never wanted to go to the bathroom again.
There are two restaurants, but the one with a kitchen that we can use is the backpacker's kitchen, located past the desk.
It's a little dirty here too
You have to eat at another restaurant.
The overall review is that the staff is friendly and the service is good, but it is very dirty.

GGuest UserWe are an 65. We can't turn on the TV if you say down load an app. I fancied about throwing the remote at the TV after 2 hrs of trying.
How can i SIGN INTO MY OWN UTube or sign into my own NetFlix. IF I DONT HAVE IT...
WAS NOT HAPPY.
We were getting the ferry in the morning.
We came down at 7.20am in the hope to get breakfast and the place was closed up. No breakfast ?
When we arrived a young girl took my $35. For the parking and said we could come back in the morning if we wanted.. if you want to park your car it very safe but watch the door closes at night so someone has to get out to open in on the busy rd. You need to park on foot path and it's a tight turn in if you have a big ute like us.
Shower was the best part of the room.
Bed was very high as was on a HIGH wooden bottom. Everything was very clean and tidy.
I guess we are not used to going to a hotel that has no reception to ask about the TV.
Not sure if we would return.

YYUNSHENGMy daughter said that the hotel we booked this time is the favorite, the surrounding environment is beautiful, quiet, very close to the city and tourist attractions. Go to the museum, the Capitol is more than 20 minutes walk. Mount Victoria is just behind the hotel and it is 1200 meters walk. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Wellington and the scenery is beautiful. Going to Cuba Street, convenience stores, and supermarkets are very convenient. Because we don't have a car and don't want to take the bus, it is very convenient to choose here. I can walk to any attraction. The boss is very warm and kind. He said, ”He and the Chinese have worked together for ten years, just like a family.” What moved the words, he is very kind and friendly to the Chinese, and he gives it daily. We have prepared a free breakfast, we have to stay here for ten days, my daughter likes it very much, safe and hygienic. The kitchen in the restaurant can also be used free of charge. You can buy food and cook for yourself. It is a good place to take your children to travel. When I first came to check in, we took out the documents and showed them to the boss. He said cheerfully, ”No need to look, I know who you are,”. I think he may be a Chinese character with the Chinese for a long time. You don't need to go through any formalities to stay here, it's as simple as going home. We also choose here for the next vacation.
