"Nice big clean room in a great location. Onsite restaurant and bar is a plus. The property is quite dated but is in the process of a major renovation. We still enjoyed our stay and the property was great value for money."

"The location and room type were fantastic! Being right next to the train station and ferry was so convenient, and I loved being able to walk along the beach. However, the room had a very unpleasant, damp odor—almost like old carpet or pet accidents. It didn’t feel clean at all, and I actually had to buy my own room spray to make it bearable. Great spot, but the room hygiene needs urgent attention."

"The check in process was very slow and the 2 males on the desk were not welcoming or friendly. The rooms were an ok size and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaners did a great job though the shower could do with a deep clean. There was no toaster in the room but it did have a microwave and kettle with tea and coffee (no hot choc). Curtains were nice and black out but there was a noisy bar court yard downstairs we could still hear quite clearly from floor 16. While there was no AC a fan and a heater were supplied. It was very close to the centre of town and did have parking if needed. We used Clifton carpark as the cheapest parking we have found in town max $26 per day."

"Had a great stay here! The backpacker hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a really friendly atmosphere. Staff were helpful and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Met lots of awesome travelers during my stay. Would definitely recommend for budget travelers!"

"The room was surprisingly spacious and very well-equipped. It had a washing machine and dryer, and you could even cook. What's even better is its central location. At just over 400 a night, it's highly recommended. It's very close to both the Cuban Street market and the city center, and the soundproofing is also quite good."

"An excellent choice in Wellington. Plenty of restaurants down the street a block from hotel. Fruit and small grocery across the street from front door. 500 meters from Cuba street and lots of eclectic shops. Excellent value , room was large and nice. Love the staff there. IQ of staff was higher than mine."

"The in-room facilities, like the cabinets and drawers, were a bit dated but still functional; everything else was pretty good. Also, I booked a King Room, but the 'king bed' was actually two twin beds pushed together. There was a gap in the middle, and if you happened to sleep there, you might accidentally shift the bed. If this bothers you, you might want to reconsider. Otherwise, everything else was decent. The room was quite spacious, and its downtown location was convenient. The only minor issue was some motorcycle noise from the street at night, but it wasn't frequent. Finally, regarding the service, I'm docking one point here. The hotel initially requested my credit card details for their system to charge for any potential damages. This isn't an issue in itself, but the lady who checked me in explained it unprofessionally, which made me a bit wary. In reality, this charge was a pre-authorization done through a POS machine via the bank system, which is quite secure, rather than being stored in their own system. Furthermore, the receptionist took my credit card and processed the authorization herself, which I found unreasonable. At another hotel I stayed at, the front desk clearly explained it was a pre-authorization and brought the POS machine to me so I could swipe my card myself after confirming. If I swipe it myself and something goes wrong later, I'll take responsibility. But if someone else handles my card, I'll think of that incident if an issue arises, even though this particular operation seems safe. I'm just saying it's neither professional nor standard practice. She just took my credit card, and I didn't confirm the entire process. However, since no substantial problems occurred, I still find it acceptable, just a bit annoying. Other than that, everything else was quite good, and I would still recommend it, though I hope they improve their service procedures through better training."

"The spacious room and well-equipped bathroom facilities, including the kitchen, made for a very comfortable stay. I was worried because the information about after-hours check-in came late on the day of arrival, but thankfully, I received the message eventually. I had a little trouble with the check-in process, but I was able to check in without any problems."
