| Saqqara Pyramid: The Beginning of Pharaohs' Tombs!
Hey everyone! Today, let's explore the world's oldest pyramid—the Step Pyramid of Djoser! 🏜️ This "step pyramid" predates the Giza pyramids and is the first stone structure in ancient Egypt, marking the beginning of Egyptian pyramid construction! 👑✨
⛱️ Must-see attractions:
🏗 The History of the Saqqara Pyramid
✔ Construction Time: Approx. 2667–2648 BC (Over 100 years earlier than the Giza pyramids!)
✔ Pharaoh: Djoser, the first king of the Third Dynasty
✔ Architect: Imhotep, known as the greatest architect of ancient Egypt! 💡
This pyramid stands 60m tall and consists of six stepped layers. It's the world's earliest large-scale stone structure and laid the foundation for later pyramid construction! Imagine, over 4,000 years ago, humans built a tomb in such a magnificent way for the first time. This was a major breakthrough in architectural history! 🏛️✨
🔥 Saqqara Pyramid VS. Giza Pyramids: Which is more special?
✔ Different Shapes: The Saqqara Pyramid is stepped, while the three Giza pyramids are smooth tetrahedrons.
✔ Earlier Time: Saqqara predates the Great Pyramid of Giza by over 100 years and is the prototype of pyramid construction!
✔ Smaller Scale: The Great Pyramid of Giza is 139m tall, while the Saqqara Pyramid is only 60m, but it's still an architectural marvel!

Djoser's pyramid
#Overseas travel
Visiting the Pyramid of Djoser at Sakkara was an incredible historical experience. This pyramid is considered to be the oldest pyramid in Egypt and the first large stone building in history. Walking around it gave me a sense of grandeur and architectural innovation that dates back thousands of years. The pyramid’s lined design stands out from the rest of the pyramids, and I learned a lot about King Djoser and the architect Imhotep who designed this great structure. The atmosphere of the place was calm and filled with the spirit of history, and I could imagine how it was the center of ancient Egyptian civilization. An experience full of wonder and audacity.

Our family expedition to Memphis, Egypt, was like stepping into the ancient heart of civilization itself. As we wandered among the ruins of this once-great city, we were transported back in time to a world of pharaohs, gods, and towering monuments. Standing before the colossal statue of Ramesses II, we felt dwarfed by its grandeur and power, marveling at the craftsmanship that has endured for millennia. Exploring the remnants of temples and palaces, we imagined the bustling streets and vibrant life that once filled these sacred spaces. The air was thick with history and mystery, igniting our imaginations and fueling our thirst for knowledge about this ancient civilization that shaped the course of human history.
As for our next dream destination, we've set our sights on the breathtaking landscapes of Machu Picchu, Peru. Nestled high in the Andes Mountains, Machu Picchu is a marvel of engineering and ingenuity, offering stunning panoramic views and a glimpse into the ancient Inca civilization. We look forward to trekking along the Inca Trail, traversing rugged terrain and lush cloud forests to reach this legendary citadel. Exploring the terraced fields, intricate stone structures, and sacred temples of Machu Picchu will be a journey of discovery and adventure, immersing our family in the rich tapestry of Andean culture and history amidst the awe-inspiring beauty of the Peruvian highlands.

The heat wasn’t stopping me
The pyramids, no matter which ones you pick are amazing. The camel rides are fun as well.
Whether you go to Giza, or any of the others in the region, I promise you that you’ll be impressed.
Be prepared for the heat if you decide to go Cairo in the summer, it is slow season then. The benefit of going then is that the crowds are way smaller at just about everywhere you go.
