I spent 5 days in Chengdu and visited most of the popular attractions. It was a great trip! Here is my itinerary and experience for your reference. Day 1: I went to Chunxi Road first. The panda statue at IFS is very popular. It lights up at 6 pm and looks amazing, perfect for photos. Then I went to Xiang Feipo Restaurant. The spicy stir-fried chicken with clams was delicious, and the squid tentacles and sausage were also good. I finished all the rice. After eating, I went to Taikoo Li. The naked-eye 3D screen and LV Christmas tree were great for photos. Day 2: I went to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Remember to buy a headband outside the base, as there are fewer styles inside. The base is large, and the baby pandas are adorable. If you want to see the delivery room, I recommend taking the sightseeing bus, as walking is tiring. At noon, I went to Houtang Hot Pot. It was very spicy, so hot pot lovers shouldn't miss it. In the evening, I went to Lishan Tea House. The environment was nice and relaxing. Day 3: I went to the Sanxingdui Museum. The museum is large, and it takes about 2 to 3 hours to visit. There is a coffee shop in the museum, which is a nice place to rest and enjoy some coffee and snacks. In the evening, I went to Jinli. It looks better at night when the lights are on, and it's a great place for photos. Day 4: I went to Yangtianwo Square. The giant panda sculpture is impressive. Then I went to Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng. I recommend joining a tour group, as climbing the mountain is tiring. If you don't want to get tired, you can just visit the foot of Mount Qingcheng. Day 5: On the last day, I went to Wenshu Monastery. The mushroom rice at Xiangyuan was good, and there is a vegetarian buffet. You can only order at 11:30 am. Then I went to Gongting Pastry Shop. The Napoleon cake was delicious, and it was worth the wait. Overall, my 5-day trip to Chengdu was fulfilling. I enjoyed the food, drinks, and attractions. The itinerary was not rushed.
