Chumsaeng Shrine, Nakhon Sawan
🛕 The Shrine of the Lord and Lady Chumsaeng is located in Chumsaeng Subdistrict, Chumsaeng District, Nakhon Sawan Province. It was built by Chinese people in Chumsaeng Market. There is a legend that a log floated downstream, so the villagers carved it into the image of the Lord and built a small shrine to protect the villagers. 👨👩👧👧
💁 Later, the Lord possessed a spirit medium and asked the market leader to ask for the hand of the Lady Koei Chai. The villagers invited the Lady Koei Chai to return to Chumsaeng and changed the name to 'Shrine of the Lord and Lady Chumsaeng'.
🙏 The people of Chumsaeng are very devoted to the miraculous powers of the Lord and Lady Chumsaeng, especially in the case of the market fires that have occurred many times but have been extinguished. The people of Chumsaeng organize a celebration for the Lord and Lady Chumsaeng every year.

Chumsaeng: An old town on the Nan River that you must visit
Chumsaeng Market is a more than 100-year-old market in Nakhon Sawan Province. Many Chinese merchants immigrated to settle and trade here. This market used to be a thriving trading community.
Because the northern railway line and the Nan River are the main routes, the main products traded at this market were rice, which made Chumsaeng Market one of the most prosperous economic markets in the past.
Currently, Chumsaeng Market still has old shops that are still in operation, as well as people who still live in this community.
For tourists who love cultural tourism, you can come for a walk, try famous food such as fish ball noodles, pork satay, Khanom Jeen Namya, or take a boat trip to see the view along the Nan River. It is also a center for antiques, collectibles, and a place to display art works by children in the community at Chumsaeng Gallery.

Following the Famous Drama at Chum Saeng
I must admit, I knew nothing about this province, and it's rare for me to visit. Haha.
This trip was quite spontaneous and short. Initially, I just intended to go to the market to buy some stuff, but I found that the market I used to visit as a child had changed a lot. It has now become a famous tourist spot with people from other provinces coming to take photos and check-in.
The main attraction that caught my interest was a gallery showcasing old items from the past. It felt like a time machine, taking me back to those days. There were various household items and toys, allowing visitors to learn about the way of life through the exhibits.
The train station was quiet and somewhat lonely when I visited on a weekday, but it still had a nostalgic atmosphere. There were also some cool photo spots.
Since it's a tourist spot, there are also classic-style snack and drink shops around. In the evening, there's a bustling market with lots of things for sale, but I had to leave early as it looked like it was going to rain.
I heard that this place has been open for several years now. It's a pity I didn't visit earlier, but I'm glad that this once quiet district, which wasn't a main tourist destination, has gained fame. The drama 'Krong Karm' is said to have contributed to its popularity, which is great as it has improved the quality of life for the locals.
This place is perfect for both photography enthusiasts and food lovers. There are plenty of photo spots and lots of food available (especially in the evening).

Chumsaeng Centennial Market
#summerdream
Chumsaeng Centennial Market is an old market, a classic and old community on the Nan River. This market used to be a trading center, an important source of rice, and many Chinese immigrants settled and traded there because there was Chumsaeng Station, a northern railway line running through it since 1907. Today, the charm of Chumsaeng Centennial Market is the ancient buildings and houses that are over 100 years old in traditional Chinese style that reminds us of the past. It is another place to visit that is suitable for experiencing the atmosphere of a peaceful and simple community and taking beautiful photos in a vintage style.

The charm of Chumsaeng, Nakhon Sawan
Chumsaeng District, Nakhon Sawan Province, a small district that is very charming and fascinating. For those who want to experience the real slow life, it still has the atmosphere of an old riverside community that still maintains a simple and classic way of life.
The charm of this place lies in the way of life of the villagers who still live a simple life but still have a hint of the old days in a perfect way. We will see vendors of various ages who are still healthy, sitting and selling things in front of their houses, calling for customers to come and support them. We recommend that we walk around and see the houses and shops so that you can experience the charm in every corner. For those who like taking pictures, you will probably like the images of buildings and simple ways of life that we probably don't have the chance to see very often.
