2025 Goheung-gun Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

Today, I'm going to share my sunrise trip to welcome 2021. I went to #Goheung! Some of you may be hearing about Goheung for the first time. Goheung is in Jeollanam-do and is close to Yeosu! It's a beautiful place with many places to visit, such as Namyeol Beach, Space Launch Observatory, Naro Space Center, and Geumgang Bridge. In particular, #Namyeol Beach is really famous for its #sunrise. I decided on a rural theme for my sunrise trip this time. That's why I chose a #minbak near the beach for my accommodation! It wasn't as comfortable as a pension or hotel, but it was fun to cook and eat with friends and chat.ㅎㅎ I went out at dawn and did Sparkla, which was so much fun! I went there by walking. If you get off at the bus terminal and take a local bus, it takes about 30 minutes. However, although it was easy to get there, the bus schedule changed a lot when leaving, so it was delayed more than expected. So I recommend using your own car or taking a taxi. And when you cross the bridge, be sure to look out the window! You can enjoy the beautiful scenery! It's been a long time since I've been lost because of a bus while traveling, but the sunrise in Goheung was so beautiful that even that became a fun memory. 2025 I went to the POSCO Training Center in Goheung Yeongnam-myeon to see the sunrise on New Year's Day. I was satisfied with the facilities and food, and it was the best accommodation where I could see the sunrise from the balcony. Goheung has many places to visit and many famous restaurants with fresh seafood and delicious food. It's a fun place to visit every time.

#DomesticTravel My visit to Goheung Ssukseom was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. When I arrived, I was welcomed by the amazing natural beauty of the island. The island was surrounded by clear blue waters and beautiful beaches. I explored around the island and learned about the local culture and the history of the place. I enjoyed walking along the beach and enjoying the waves and air. I rode a bike and explored the scenic landscapes including green farms and fields full of seaweed. I also tasted the delicious local cuisine that the island is famous for, such as fresh fish and various seafood. It was a relaxing and adventurous experience at the same time, and spending time in the picturesque nature was the perfect way to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. #SummerTravel June 27th, Goheung was expected to rain heavily from dawn, so I worried a lot about whether I should go to Sukseom Island or not until the day before, but fortunately, the rain news was delayed, so I made up my mind and went to Sukseom Island. Before leaving for Goheung, I heard that it rained in the southern region, so I thought the hydrangeas on Sukseom Island would last a little longer, but it rained and blew on Sukseom Island. It would have been okay if it had just dried up, but the wind and rain had blown away a lot of the hydrangeas, so the hydrangea spot at the highest elevation that I had high expectations for was half perilla leaves and half hydrangea... I had been worrying about how to get there by walking for the past few years, and finally I went to Sukseom Island, so I was happy to see the hydrangeas on Sukseom Island. Sukseom Island is also called Cat Island, which means there are a lot of cats living on the island. The residents also fed the cats and built a fancy house for them on the street like a penthouse, showing how much affection they had for them. Maybe because they received so much love, the cats on Sukseom Island don't avoid people when they come, but rather come and beg to be petted.🫢 The hydrangeas were so bad that I was about to leave for the next boat, but because of these cuties, I played for a while and chatted with the residents for a while before leaving for the next boatㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The Astronaut Sukseom waffles and mugwort lattes at the entrance are really delicious, so if you go to Sukseom Island, be sure to stop by! The puppies are really cute too..🐶 The hydrangeas were disappointing, but the neighborhood was so nice that the writing is getting longer, but they say that no one visits Sukseom Island unless it's the hydrangea season. They said that since the population is already seriously aging, they need to create tourism resources, but that's not going well. Since there are no tourists, more than half of the bus routes entering and leaving Naro Island have been canceled. In fact, I almost ended up forcing myself to stay overnight on Naro Island after only relying on the schedule provided by Naver. As I traveled around following the flowers, I had a lot of thoughts while talking to the cafe owner. #koreatrip When you arrive and climb up the island, you will have an open view. There are many view points with good views, and if you climb to the top, There is a secret garden in the sea forest, and it is really beautiful. The island can be explored in about 1.5 to 2 hours. As you walk, you see a lot of cats walking around. There are more cats than people on the island, so it is also called Cat Island. Above all, it is an island that is not that widely known. I think the biggest advantage is that there aren't that many people looking for it. It was the best island where you could feel healed with just a short walk.

It was not crowded, it was spacious, and there was even an outdoor terrace where you could enjoy the ocean view! :) ✔️The glass windows were the most impressive! Usually, only a certain part of the interior of a cafe is made of glass, but Porbia has all the windows from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor that allow you to see the outdoors, so it was really nice because it felt like the outside was wide open even when you were inside the building. 🪟 ✔️The inside of the building had wide space between the seats and it was comfortable! It was made up of the 1st and 2nd floors, but the 2nd floor was temporarily closed! However, the 1st floor was also wide and had many seats, so we were able to use it without any inconvenience :) +The ocean view was available even from inside the building, so we used the inside!🌊 ✔️The outdoor terrace was also simply decorated! The best part was that it wasn't noisy and you could see the ocean right in front of you! The tables and chairs were placed cutely outside, so it had a European feel, which was nice! ✔️The drinks were reasonably priced and delicious! 📍 Noblesse (3, Ujuhanggong-ro, Doyang-eup, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do) 🕒 Operating hours: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun (11:30 ~ 22:00) Tue: Regular holiday 💶 Price range: 10,000 ~ 30,000 won 🚗Parking: Parking lot available - I recommend “Noblesse”, a restaurant near Nokdong Port with good value for money and large portions🍝💕 - Noblesse, which is considered one of the best restaurants in Nokdong, is an Italian restaurant that sells Western food! It’s a recommended restaurant that satisfied me with the taste of the food, the friendliness of the staff, the price, and the portions! - It has a vintage interior, spacious seats, and an ocean view! At first, I was eating outside, but it was too windy, so I ate inside! - It was even better because there were private seats :) The staff was friendly and the turnover was good! - All the food was in the 10,000 won or 20,000 won range, and we visited with 6 people, and it was 80,000 won, so it was a cost-effective restaurant!! The portions were really large, so everyone was satisfied💕 - The most recommended menus are shrimp pilaf and calzone oven pizza! I think calzone is the signature!
