#SummerTravel June 27th, Goheung was expected to rain heavily from dawn, so I worried a lot about whether I should go to Sukseom Island or not until the day before, but fortunately, the rain news was delayed, so I made up my mind and went to Sukseom Island. Before leaving for Goheung, I heard that it rained in the southern region, so I thought the hydrangeas on Sukseom Island would last a little longer, but it rained and blew on Sukseom Island. It would have been okay if it had just dried up, but the wind and rain had blown away a lot of the hydrangeas, so the hydrangea spot at the highest elevation that I had high expectations for was half perilla leaves and half hydrangea... I had been worrying about how to get there by walking for the past few years, and finally I went to Sukseom Island, so I was happy to see the hydrangeas on Sukseom Island. Sukseom Island is also called Cat Island, which means there are a lot of cats living on the island. The residents also fed the cats and built a fancy house for them on the street like a penthouse, showing how much affection they had for them. Maybe because they received so much love, the cats on Sukseom Island don't avoid people when they come, but rather come and beg to be petted.🫢 The hydrangeas were so bad that I was about to leave for the next boat, but because of these cuties, I played for a while and chatted with the residents for a while before leaving for the next boatㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The Astronaut Sukseom waffles and mugwort lattes at the entrance are really delicious, so if you go to Sukseom Island, be sure to stop by! The puppies are really cute too..🐶 The hydrangeas were disappointing, but the neighborhood was so nice that the writing is getting longer, but they say that no one visits Sukseom Island unless it's the hydrangea season. They said that since the population is already seriously aging, they need to create tourism resources, but that's not going well. Since there are no tourists, more than half of the bus routes entering and leaving Naro Island have been canceled. In fact, I almost ended up forcing myself to stay overnight on Naro Island after only relying on the schedule provided by Naver. As I traveled around following the flowers, I had a lot of thoughts while talking to the cafe owner. Since flowers have become a tourist resource, they have planted a lot of flowers here and there, so now you don't have to go far to see many flowers, but I wonder what other tourist resources can help revitalize the region. The hydrangeas in bloom on Ssuk Island are so pretty, but Ssuk Island is a great island to visit for healing in other seasons as well.
