This place is called Tham Nam Yen. 300 baht for 30 min boat ride where the boatmen, yes there’s two of them, have to manually row the boat into the cave. Some parts of the cave have such a low ceiling that you have to lay flat on the boat, the boatmen will let you know when to do it. There are also bats inside the cave but they are closer to the entrance of the cave. When you go deeper it’s mainly the interesting stalagmites and stalactites. The boatmen will tell you the names of each of them and even help you take photos with them.

Khao Chaison is a very relaxing place south of Thailand. It is an amazing secret getaway nobody knows about. Getting There - it is a 2 hour train ride from Hat Yai station. Attractions - There is a big hill called Than Nam Yen with Hot Springs you can visit. You can also take a boat trip and have some drinks at shops around there. They have amazing Thai massages that cost less than 200bath. Shanfhan Resort has bicycles you can use to cycle along scenic roads, take in nature and enjoy. Hotels - I recommend Sanfhan Resort. Khao Chaison doesn’t have 4-5 star hotels. This is why it is good to stay at this local guest house and absorb local culture. Food & Restaurants - You can attempt to order from local shops, although no menus are in English, the food is delicious. You can always get a precooked meal at 7-eleven if you do not know how to order food in local restaurants. After staying in Khao Chaison for a few days, you will feel refreshed and recharged! Enjoy 😊
