The main tourist spot in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It's even more amazing than it looks in photos. It's most beautiful in the evening until the light-up at night. I asked a local and they said they weren't sure what time the light-up comes on at night, but when I went it was around 9:10pm. When VIPs or group tourists arrive, they play projection mapping and music like in the photo, which completely changes the atmosphere. There were a lot of people coming in to take photos from quite early on, so I recommend waiting in front of the square while it's still light out.
