2025 Shanghai Disney Resort Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

This trip took advantage of the 3-day weekend and went to Shanghai, where a tourist visa was no longer required✨ There aren't many landmarks in Shanghai, so I was able to use the entire 2 nights and 3 days to do just the right amount of sightseeing🌸 The main attractions I'll be introducing this time are the classic tourist spots ・Yuyuan Shopping Mall ・The Bund ・Shanghai Disneyland Below is the itinerary↓↓↓ Day 1: Arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport Yuyuan Shopping Mall → Nanjing East Road → The Bund Day 2: Shanghai Disneyland🐭🏰🤍 Day 3: Supermarket, shopping mall souvenir shopping🛍️ → Return home [Recommended food] 1. Yuyan Gongguan·Shanghai Cuisine (Nanjing East Road store) The braised pork is on another level. And the potato salad is on another level. 2. Nanfei Mantou Shop The most famous shop in Shanghai I recommend the crab miso soup dumplings!!! ! ! ! 3. Disneyland Gourmet [Recommended Hotel] Grand Hyatt Shanghai Shanghai is home to many luxury hotels that are famous in Japan, and you can stay there for even cheaper prices than in Japan. ●Things to do in Japan ・Just like in Japan, there are attractions that are closed, so check the app ・Download the app (Chinese or English settings only) ・Purchase tickets (if you buy tickets from an unofficial site, there are early bird and pair discounts) (avoid Chinese holidays and national holidays if possible) ・Scan the QR code on the ticket with the app *You need a phone number to register, so it's a good idea to do this while you're in Japan *Some tickets require a passport to enter, and you can only get the QR code after you've entered. In that case, buy an eSIM with a phone number or use a virtual phone service ・Make sure you have internet access (if you've registered your ticket in advance, we recommend the trip.com eSIM, which doesn't have a phone number but can be used for Line and Instagram. It costs about 1,100 yen for 10GB for 8 days) 　　 ●Actual experience on the day (Monday) ⭐︎Entrance edition ・Like in Japan, it opens earlier than the official opening hours ・There is strict baggage inspection, but you can bring in food and drink (alcohol shouldn't be allowed) ・Get a standby pass immediately after entering the park (Standby passes are only issued on busy days, so on the day I went, I only got tickets for one show) ⭐︎Food - Food to eat on the go was about three times more expensive than in Japan (ice cream and popcorn were about 900 yen) - We brought bottled water and drank a lot at the many water stations in the park (it was summer, so we drank a lot) - Fast food was about 2000 yen (adding a drink was an extra 100 yen). #spooktaculartrip Halloween are always associated with skeleton decorations and such. Thus, when we were at one of the shops in Shanghai Disneyland, the thought of Halloween immediately came into our minds. The shop we were at was the Doubloon Market/Treasure Cove. Thus, it sold merchandise related to pirates. You can buy stuff like costumes, headwear, treasure etc. That's why we get to see the likes of skeleton merchandise over here. I couldn’t believe it’s been a year since we came to Disney , even as pass holders the Rona has kept us away. It was great to see new changes at the park , having multiple entrance to reduce the crowd , new restaurants in Disney Town opening. It was so nice to see people and fans , from the parades and the snacks was amazing. The park wasn’t that busy , so it was perfect. If you want to visit check the mini program for packages.

Disneyland is really fun. Although it takes a while to queue for each ride, it's worth it. You can see the cartoon characters from your childhood and it will instantly bring back childhood memories.

Getting There - Subway station : Disney Resort (line 11) + about 5-7mins walk from there. Attractions -  Food & Restaurants - Disneyland:A lot of ice cream and snack options. Some “meal” options but very expensive (over 100¥ for a burger combo). Disneytown : More food options such as Cheesecake Factory and Blue Frog. Still quite expensive but the food is better. Shopping - Tons of souvenirs shops. Rides- Long lines but Tron was definitely worth it!! The dwarves mine was a lot of fun too. I went there solo and still had a fun time! I’m also not much of a Disney fan but I loved the atmosphere! There’s an option for a 2 days pass - If you’re very much into Disney it might be worth it for you so you get to explore everything. If you’re like me and just want to “go with the flow” then I’d say a day pass is enough. I liked most the 24 and 48 months aged cheese! just delicious but there is something for everybody! It is a must 2. Church of Saint John 3. Getting There - Take metro Line 11 and ride all the way to the last stop (Disney Resort) Attractions - Disneyland theme park, Disneytown Hotels - IN Disney: Shanghai Disneyland Resort Hotel, Toy Story Hotel. Both are pretty overpriced and the rooms are quite small. Toiletries are all themed and cute though! Plus you also get access to the shuttle buses that pick up and drop off directly to and from Disneytown. OUT of Disney: Moonlo Hotel was a great cost/benefit hotel. Literally feels like you’re staying at a spa in Bali 😅 the rooms are huge, super spacious, clean, and the bed is out of this world - in size and comfort as well! Shower is amazing and they have very good amenities available like washing/drying machine available 24/7! Food & Restaurants - Inside the park you can find several restaurants and snack shops with a variety of options to choose from. At the Heroes Power Up Station (across from the Tron ride), you’ll get burgers, fried chicken, fries, etc. At the Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant they serve Asian dishes. The snack shops can be found all around the park and sell popcorn, icecream, sodas, etc. There are also fancier restaurants like The Royal Dining at the castle! Outside of the park but still in Disneytown, the restaurant options include The Cheesecake Factory (highly recommend!), Wolfgang Puck, Blue Frog, and other smaller restaurant chains. You can leave the park and go back in through a different gate right before Tomorrowland! Shopping - If you’re a #disneyfreak like me, going to Disney = spending big bucks because you can’t resist all their lovely merchandise 😂💸 World of Disney is the biggest store you’ll find, it’s in Disneytown right before the park entrance and absolutely full of the coolest things. You can also find a two-story Lego store, Build-A-Bear Workshop, UGGS, Pandora, Sephora, and so many other shops before entering the park. Once you’re in, you’ll see that both sides of Mickey Avenue (the main road) are just really big shops all connected to each other.
