I made the 10 hour drive (with a private driver) from Cairo to Siwa Oasis and discovered a land of pure bliss! Siwa is in the western desert of Egypt and it feels like a completely different place. It has its own people (Berber-speaking Sudanic people) and they live in these really interesting mud houses. There are a few sights to see in Siwa like the Cleopatra Spring, Fatnas Island (best sunset), Salt lakes (such a cool experience), Oracle Temple, Shali Fortress and many more. I spent some time with a local guide who told me all about the history and local culture and I enjoyed my relaxed evenings at the boho campsite where you can choose air conditioned cottages or the simple fanned hotels. My camp provided breakfast and dinner which were always delicious and even though I was on my own, I never felt lonely. There are different types of hotels and camp sites all around Siwa and they offer a calm and peaceful environment. There are also plenty of souvenir stores ones you enter the town side near the fortress and a few local restaurants. #freehotelstay

We stayed in a hotel called Siwa Relax Retreat. It was an Eco Lodge with no electricity in the rooms, just candles. You could charge your phones in the main reception area. The main attraction here is the salt lake in which the rooms are very close to. The rooms have salt rocks on the floor, so you need something on your feet when you get out of bed. The air here is so clean, and sleeping surrounded by salt rocks is very beneficial to your health. #awesomepic

The hotel I stayed at in Siwa, Egypt. The hotel was built using the remains of a fortress, and it had an extraordinary feel, like a maze. It was a very enjoyable space that I don't usually get to stay in. Located just outside the ruins of the Old Shari, a 13th century fortress, you can enjoy the historical atmosphere. It was built in the traditional Siwan architectural style using palm wood, and the staff were very kind. I recommend it to those who want to experience the history and culture of the Siwa Oasis in depth! The staff were also very kind and gave me a lot of advice on tourist information and transportation. There are many salt lakes of various colors in the city of Siwa near Libya. The salt lakes in the Siwa Oasis have a very high salt concentration, just like the Dead Sea, so you can float easily. #Overseas travel 2 nights in Siwa where I ate and rested really well😋 I still remember the sunset I saw on the last day when I went up to Siwa Fortress🥹 Siwa Fortress is located in the center of Siwa and is easy to access!! The road was complicated like a maze so it wasn't easy to find the top🤣 We took the wrong road two or three times... However, it's not that high so it's a pretty observatory that even people with low stamina can go to🌅 If you go to Siwa, you must! I found this place based on the Google Map rating 1️⃣ OLA Restaurant أمام فندق النخيل in front of Palm Trees hotel, Siwa, Marsa Matrouh Governorate 5011314 Egypt I ordered date juice, camel meat, and chop steak😋 I ordered the camel meat out of curiosity, but I was surprised that it was tender and delicious without any gamey smell!!😳 It was served with a soup that was like bear soup, so it was perfect for Koreansㅠ The date sauce chop steak was a little chewy, but the sauce was sweet and delicious. The date milk juice was amazing!! It's so sweet, I recommend it only to those who like sweet things!! 2️⃣ APPA Restaurant 6G2C+C5Q City of Shali, Siwa, Marsa Matrouh Governorate 5011325 Egypt This is a place I just happened to stop by on the street, but the price is good and the food is so delicious that I felt good 😋 I ordered chicken tagine, 1/4 duck, and lamb, and the basic appetizers were plentiful and the main dishes were all delicious🥹 I recommend it!!

#Overseas travel The reason I drove 10 hours from Cairo to Siwa!! It was to go to the salt lake...!! I happened to see a picture of the salt lake and fell in love with it, so I took the 20-hour round trip by land🤣 Siwa is a place with a quiet charm, unlike Cairo or other cities. There were fewer swindlers, no scams, and no rip-offs, so it was definitely less stressful~ It was December, so the wind was cold and the water was really cold... but I closed my eyes and got in😶 I'm a coward, so it took me ages to get in the water, but it was amazing that my body was floating😳 However, I wasn't feeling well at the time, and I get cold easily, so I couldn't stay in the water for long and had to get out after 1-2 minutes...🤣🥲 The water is really cold, so if possible, I recommend going before December😭 But the color of the water was really pretty at Siwa Oasis🏝️ There are so many lakes everywhere, so you can go to a place where there are no people and play There's no entrance fee, but you have to pay for a tuk-tuk to get to the lake~ 📍Siwa Salt Lake 6J8G+W2X, Unnamed Road, Siwa, Marsa Matrouh Governorate 5011702 Egypt

We stayed in Siwa for 3 days and 2 nights! At first, we were thinking about 2 days and 1 night, but Mana suggested that we stop at 2 nights and 1 night considering our physical condition and weather, and we decided to stay for 2 nights. (I'm the type of person who likes to travel with a lot of time to spare.) I didn't write it on my feed, but I went to eat lunch at 1pm and 6pm and took a break at a cafe in between, but basically all the food doesn't suit Japanese tastes. I thought the Dead Sea was only in Jordan, but I went to Siwa in Egypt because it's also there!!! The only way to get there is by bus from Cairo. I saw that it takes 8 hours on a night bus, but I'm already 34 years old lol I was scared of night buses, so I went in a special van with sightseeing and a hotel! To be honest, I was going to see the Dead Sea (Salt Lake), so I said I didn't need sightseeing, right? But I want to give myself a pep talk for saying I didn't need it.
