[Hyogo] Akashi, the city where the Japan Standard Time Meridian passes

#Spring0yenTrip Akashi is a fascinating city where the sea, history, and science come together. First we visited the ruins of Akashi Castle. Two impressive turrets remain, and as we climbed up to the castle tower from the spacious grassy park, we felt the history breathing in the laid-back air. After that, we went to Uontana Shopping Street. Fresh seafood was lined up, and when we dipped the specialty Akashiyaki in hot soup stock, we couldn't help but smile at the fluffy texture and gentle taste. We also had lively conversations with the local people, and their warmth left a lasting impression on us. We also visited Akashi City Astronomical Science Museum. This is the "Museum of Time and Space" located on the Japanese Standard Time Meridian at 135 degrees east longitude. The planetarium inside the museum is the oldest in Japan, having been in operation since its opening in 1960, and is characterized by live commentary by the curator. In addition, from the observation deck on the 14th floor, we could enjoy a magnificent view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea. Akashi is a city worth visiting, where history, food, and science come together in harmony.
