#cityplaybook This Tower also known as the Kedah Tower, has four floors, 165.5 meters high is a telecommunications tower in Alor Setar. This tower is also the third tallest in Malaysia. The title 'Negeri Jelapang Padi' was the main inspiration for the tower's design which is like a 'Stump of Paddy' which is clearly visible on the tower's structure. The large pillar known as 'Tiang Seri' which supports the tower's structure symbolize the strength of the people of Kedah Darul Aman. The tower provides telecommunications and broadcasting services as well as various other facilities for visitors such as the Observation Deck located at a height of 88 meters above sea level with five sets of automatic binoculars free of charge. There is also the Megaview Banquet Hall at a height of 100 meters which provides facilities for meetings, seminars, courses, lunches, afternoon teas, dinners and more for government agencies, corporate bodies, NGOs, associations and other organizations. Menara Alor Setar also provides a dining experience in the sky such as the Menara Alor Setar Revolving Restaurant, located at a height of 94 meters which is the highest restaurant in Kedah Darul Aman.
