Familiar sunshine in spring - Amsterdam

In Amsterdam in April, the sunshine is so gentle that it seems to be specially prepared for me. I have been to this city countless times and I am so familiar with it that even the cafe on the corner remembers my favorite window seat. But every time I visit again, I feel new emotions. Amsterdam in spring has a magical power that brings peace of mind. Walking along the canal, I watched ducks floating on the water, flowers blooming on the windowsill, and trees just beginning to turn green. The air smells of sunshine, mixed with a little bit of floral fragrance, as if being gently embraced by the city. I didn’t have any special itinerary planned. I just wanted to take a quiet walk and let my body remember the familiar wind, light, and smell. I passed by the small hotel where I had stayed before, sat on a bench in front of an old bookstore, drank a latte, and watched time slowly pass by. At a certain stage, traveling no longer seems to be about seeing new things, but about wanting to go back to those places that once made your heart beat and reconfirm that a part of yourself is still there.
