I drove 2 hours from Hangzhou just for this pickled fish! Did the owner graduate from a top culinary school? The spicy and sour golden soup bullfrog is so rich you could eat three bowls of rice with it, the dry pot intestines are so tender your chopsticks will fight over them, and even the wild vegetables are freshly dug and stir-fried right in front of you 🌿 (The auntie teaching me how to dig bamboo shoots felt just like my mom!). For just CNY80+ per person, we ate till we were stuffed. My friends thought I'd gone to a private restaurant costing CNY500 per person 😭 The B&B is nestled at the foot of the Zhejiang North Grand Canyon, with 270° mountain-view floor-to-ceiling windows perfect for watching the sea of clouds roll by. The spring-fed pool is so beautiful it looks Photoshopped! Moms traveling with kids can finally relax—there's a children's play area + outdoor movies + bonfire parties. The kids were so busy playing they completely forgot about their phones📵 Warm floors in the winter and cool streams in the summer, with the housekeeper serving hot tea and ginger soup 24/7. Even I, a certified introvert, couldn't stop chatting! The key is the stunning scenery and the lack of crowds! Enjoy the bamboo forest all to yourself before the New Year rush, and the popular peninsula teahouse is just a 10-minute drive away. Nine photos aren't enough for my WeChat Moments‼️ I gained 5 pounds in three days, and my whole family is begging the owner for recipes 🤣 There are thousands of B&Bs in Anji, but this is the only one that satisfies both my scenic cravings and my appetite!!
