✨The Mausoleum of the Founding Fathers of Turkey in Ankara, Turkey, is the soul of Turkey Historical Origin The Mausoleum of the Founding Fathers of Turkey was built to commemorate Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. After World War I, Kemal led the Turkish people to resist imperialist aggression and division, ending the Ottoman Empire's 600-year feudal monarchy and theocracy. In 1923, he established the first democratic republic in Turkish history and became the first president. Kemal died in 1938 and his coffin was buried here in 1953. Architectural Features - The overall layout is grand and solemn: The Mausoleum of the Father of the Nation consists of the "Freedom Tower" and "Independence Tower" at the west gate, the 260-meter Stone Lion Avenue, the Victory Square, the Hall of Glory and the columned corridor. The Hall of Glory is the main building, facing north and south. It is made of brown granite, a square three-dimensional structure, surrounded by stone pillars.
