The exhibits span from the era of Australopithecus and early hominids, covering civilizations like the Hittites, Assyrians, and Mesopotamia, along with cuneiform writing—these periods seemed to make up more than half of the museum's displays. Unlike museums that focus on Ancient Greece and Rome, this museum has a completely different vibe. Ancient Mesopotamia has a strong Egyptian feel, exuding a mysterious aura that excites you even if you lack prior knowledge. The museum reminded me of the collection of Harrison Hightower III that you see while waiting in line for the Tower of Terror! Additionally, this museum seems to serve a similar role to the Edo-Tokyo Museum in Tokyo, as it was bustling with students of all ages—from elementary school to university—visiting as part of their classes. Admission is only about 200 yen, so if you visit the capital city of Ankara, this is a must-see!
