Anqing Ancient City

On a sunny weekend, I took the high-speed train from Shanghai to Anqing. The journey of more than 3 hours started a trip through time and space... Anqing is a small city in Anhui with not much presence. When it comes to attractions, the most well-known should be the Zhenfeng Tower by the river. But in fact, the entire city of Anqing is like a history book. When cultural relics and history are integrated into the residents' lives, that's when you see Anqing. I rode a bike, weaving through the city under the camphor trees, passing by beef buns and Anhui beef noodles, smelling the aroma of carbs and meat, passing by the Bailu Qingtian Heritage Building, passing by the ancient city walls in residential areas, then to the riverside's Incense Burning Pavilion and Wenming Ferry, watching the mighty Yangtze River carrying thousand-ton freighters towards the sunset... That is a city's history book, that is the historical throat of thousands of miles.
