Zhenfeng Tower, the foremost tower along the vast Yangtze River

📍 The Zhenfeng Tower at Yingjiang Temple is considered a traditional landmark of the historic and cultural city of Anqing. The tower stands at 72.74 meters tall and ranks second among the 108 ancient brick and stone towers in China, earning the reputation of "the foremost tower along the vast Yangtze River" and "one does not simply pass by Anqing without seeing the tower". 📍 The tower was built in the Ming Dynasty in 1570, serving not only as a pagoda but also as a navigational aid. The tower has seven levels and an octagonal shape, with 168 steps and over a thousand relief sculptures of Buddha. 🚩🚩 Admission to Yingjiang Temple is 10 yuan per person, and climbing the Zhenfeng Tower costs 20 yuan per person, with tickets available inside the temple. The 168 steps inside the tower are relatively high and smooth, making the climb a test for the knees.
