Nanchang Anyi | Greenland Nanchang Annan Town Net-patterned Red Soil Park

The check-in spot is located next to Greenland Annan Town in Nanchang, approximately 38km from the city center of Nanchang. Covering an area of about 16 hectares, this site serves as the ecological core of Annan Town. It preserves the native red soil landforms and integrates natural landscapes with modern design, creating a comprehensive cultural ecological park that combines science education, exhibition, entertainment, and leisure. The Red Soil Heritage Park features a series of playgrounds, large sculptures, and both hard and soft landscape elements, connecting and complementing other spaces. It serves as a breathable ecological habitat for the town, providing a place for children to play and offering services to residents and visitors. The geological name of this red soil is Plinthitic Horizon, formed during the Quaternary glacial period and the subsequent Poyang subglacial period. Under humid and hot climatic conditions, glacial debris underwent leaching and weathering, resulting in red soil layers interspersed with worm-like white mottled red clay. This unique feature gives the soil its nickname "worm-like red soil," creating a landscape of ravines and gullies known as the "red desert." Satellite maps from 2013 to 2018 reveal that the exposed red soil in this area has gradually decreased, while vegetation coverage has increased. Since red soil is acidic, the types of plants that can grow on it are limited, primarily pioneer species like Chinese red pine. Nature is slowly undergoing self-repair. The Red Soil Heritage Park is a natural park that integrates large-scale landscapes, nature experiences, ecological restoration, scientific knowledge, and leisure activities. The park's initial development area, located near the center of Annan Town, will serve as the main entrance and a hub for visitor flow and guidance in the future. This area includes the park entrance, Pinecone Meadow, Red Hill Playground, Pine Forest Walkway, and Red Soil Oasis, forming five distinct connections with the surrounding spaces.
