Awara Onsen is the largest hot spring resort town in Fukui Prefecture, with many hot spring hotels of all sizes. Many of these hotels have open-air hot spring pools that are open to the public during the day and reserved for overnight guests at night. Visitors can rent yukata at the Traditional Performing Arts Center near Awara Yunomachi Station and stroll around the town in them.
