I came across Dalquharran Castle by chance, when exploring the vast rural area of South and East Ayrshire in Scotland on a weekend trip. The place is absolutely huge and magical, with no fence impeding access. Just a few minutes walk away, another abandoned castle stands in the middle of a pine forest, the Old Dalquharran Castle, a crumbling relic of its Gothic style glory.#scotland #castle
