Wat Phra Borommathat (Luang Pho Than Chai) Subdistrict: Ko Taphao

“Wat Phra Borommathat” is located in Village No. 3, Ko Tapao Subdistrict, Ban Tak District, Tak Province. To get to the temple, tourists can head along Asia Highway No. 1 at kilometer 442. It has a long history since the time when Queen Chamadevi sailed to Lamphun and stopped in this area. She found that the town was deserted, so she ordered the restoration of the town until it became a Tak community. Wat Phra Borommathat is still visible in the stone inscription of King Ramkhamhaeng, who performed the elephant duel.
