Unseen Bodhi Tree Church in Thailand at Wat Khai Bang Kung

🛕 Wat Khai Bang Kung 🛕 or also known as Wat Bang Kung is an ancient temple located in Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province. The highlight of Wat Khai Bang Kung is the Bodhi-covered church. The church is covered by four large trees: the Bodhi tree, the Banyan tree, the Krai tree, and the Krang tree. This temple is considered the only church in a tree in Thailand. In addition, the church does not have a gable or raka leaf like other temples, but the roots of the tree help hold the church in its shape miraculously. Inside the Bodhi-covered church is the enshrined Luang Pho Phutthamaninil, or Luang Pho Bot Noi, or Luang Pho Dam, the Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, a sacred Buddha statue that is highly revered by locals and tourists who visit to pay homage to Luang Pho Phutthamaninil, making Wat Bang Kung another important tourist attraction in Samut Songkhram. It is also known as one of the Unseen Thailand attractions.
