Wat Bangplee Yai Klang, a very large reclining Buddha

#Rainy season attractions Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang is located at 1 Moo 8, Sukhaphiban 4 Road, Bang Phli Yai Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province 10540. It is an old temple that the locals call "Wat Klang" because it is located between Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai and Wat Rang Kongkham Ram. It is currently well known as the place where the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand is enshrined. Opening-Closing Hours: * Open daily from approximately 07:00 to 17:00 * Reclining Buddha Shrine: 08:10 to 16:30 * Open for viewing and gilding the Buddha's heart: 09:00 to 15:00 Highlights: * Reclining Buddha (Reclining Buddha) Somdej Phra Sakyamuni Sri Sumedha Bophit: It is the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. It is over 53 meters long and is enshrined in a shrine built over it. Inside the Buddha image, there are also rooms for meditation. * Gilding the Buddha's heart: The 4th floor of the Reclining Buddha Shrine enshrines the heart of the Buddha image. Buddhists can go up and gild the Buddha image for good fortune, which is a rare feature. * Phra Maha Chedi Phisan Wutthikit Mongkhon Mahachana Buchit (Phra Maha Chedi Wat Klang): A large chedi with a golden umbrella spire, containing the Buddha's relics. * Wall paintings: Inside the Reclining Buddha Shrine, there are murals telling stories about angels, hell, heaven, and various moral teachings. * Feeding fish/turtles: In front of the temple, there is a large pond with many fish and turtles.
