Dinner at Huai Kwang Terrace: Pu Pad Pong Curry, Pad Thai and Khao Pad...toasting with Singha beer and Escola.

We arrived after 6:30pm and it was before opening time, so we ordered drinks first. We toasted with Singha beer and Rai Coke first. I came to this terrace restaurant last October, but it was open past midnight...until about 4:30am. The night stalls on Ratchada Road start opening at night after it gets dark, so you can go shopping there and then go for a meal. When it rains at Huai Khwang Terrace, a tent is set up on the roof, so it's fine even if it suddenly rains. It's an open terrace, and the cool breeze after sunset is pleasant. The portions of the food here are large for the price, so we ordered small portions. Poo Pad Pong Curry, Pad Thai, and Khao Pad. Unlike Somboon, the Poo Pad Pong Curry at this restaurant has less water and less crab, but it still tastes good and is easy to eat as it doesn't contain any crushed shells. The Pad Thai was full of chili peppers and very spicy...it was delicious, but it was so spicy that I had to avoid the chili peppers while eating it. The Khao Pad, however, was light in flavor and somehow tasted the same as Japanese fried rice, and was very delicious. The spicy Pad Thai went well with the light and mild Khao Pad. I drank too much of the drink first, and the portions of each dish were large, so I left some of it. It's a bit disappointing as I wanted to try more, such as salads and desserts.
