Wat Makutkasatriyaram Ratchaworawihan

Wat Makut Kasatriyaram Ratchaworawihan is an ancient and beautiful temple and one of the most important temples in Rattanakosin. This temple was built during the reign of King Rama IV alongside Wat Sommanas Ratchaworawihan. The special feature of Wat Makut Kasatriyaram Ratchaworawihan is that it has two layers of bai sema. The first layer is at the corner of the temple wall and around the ordination hall. Inside the ordination hall, there is the principal Buddha image, Phra Phuttha Wachiramakut. The vihara and ordination hall are decorated with the royal crown, the emblem of King Rama IV. The murals are also very beautiful.
