A shop that has only one grilled pork menu item but it's incredibly delicious.

#dreamdestination The full name of Ohachi Butadon is Ohachi Sumiyaki Butadon. The word Sumiyaki means charcoal grilled, referring to the shop's only main menu, which is charcoal grilled pork rice. I personally ordered this shop via Line Man during the COVID period and thought it was delicious. When I got to eat it right after it was freshly made at the shop, it was even more delicious. I have to add more stars. ➡️ Pork They use thick pieces of fatty pork. The shop trims some of the pork fat, which keeps the pork soft but not too greasy. They grill pork dish by dish according to the order. You may have to wait a bit after ordering, but the pork is fragrant and grilled. The sauce is very tasty, salty and sweet, fragrant, and rich. I heard that the sauce has to be simmered for 4-5 hours. It's so delicious. ➡️ Rice The rice used is Koshihikari from Niigata Prefecture. The rice grains are soft and smooth when cooked. The texture is a little chewy when chewed. It's very delicious. Just eating it with kimchi alone is delicious, but eating it with fragrant grilled pork is even more delicious. We ate it until the last grain. For ordering, you can choose to separate the pork from the rice or have the pork placed on the rice, in true Donburi style. We like the latter more because we like the taste and aroma of the grilled pork juice mixed with the sauce to fully permeate the rice. This Donburi menu has 4 sizes to choose from, from smallest to largest: Kindergarten/Standard/Master/Doctor. We chose the Kindergarten size, which is the size that women can eat to fill up (if they are not very hungry). ➡️ Side dishes Side dishes here are not included with Butadon, so we have to order them separately. We ordered miso soup and kimchi, which helped enhance the flavor of the grilled pork and made it even more delicious. #Ari
