Temple (Brahmin Temple)

The temple (Brahman temple) is located in Rattanakosin, Sam Phraeng area, near Bangkok City Hall and the Giant Swing. It was built during the reign of King Rama I to be a place for Brahman ceremonies, such as the Swing Ceremony, Triyampawai Ceremony, Tripawai Ceremony, and the Hair-cutting Ceremony. It can be seen that there are many ceremonies that have been a part of the Thai way of life since the past. Until now, it is still a place that shows the Brahman religion in Thailand. Inside, there are 4 pavilions in total, consisting of the Shiva Shrine, the Maha Vikanesuan Shrine, the Narayana Shrine, the Brahma Shrine, the Shiva Linga Shrine, the Magic Hall, the Punya Sala, and the pavilion that exhibits the origin of the Giant Swing and the story of the Swing Ceremony.
