Worship the Golden Buddha at Wat Thepnaree

🏠Wat Thepnaree was built in 1786 by two Mon brothers who sought refuge under King Rama I. The elder brother built Wat Thepakorn, while the younger brother built Wat Thepnaree. Initially, it was called Wat Ngern, and later, Wat Bang Phlu Lang. 🏚It is speculated that the temple might have been built during the Ayutthaya period, as the pagoda is from the era of King Boromakot, and some Buddha images in the vihara are also from the Ayutthaya period. 🙏King Rama IV renamed the temple to Wat Thepakorn Naree. Interesting features within the temple include: 🏠The ubosot and vihara are parallel to each other, surrounded by a glass wall. At the corners of the glass wall, there are prangs. The ubosot was renovated during the reign of King Rama IV. 🏠The vihara has a curved shape resembling a boat. Inside, there is a beautiful Sukhothai-style stucco Buddha image with a golden hue.
