Reverend Father Phra Soem

Phra Soem (Phra Soem) is a Buddha statue in the Lan Xang Vientiane style. He sits cross-legged on a throne in the Mara-Vijaya posture. His topknot is unique, with a slender flame line and a curled end. He is cast in bright gold. His appearance is very beautiful and outstanding. His lap is 2 cubits and 1 inch wide. He is currently enshrined in the Vihara of Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratchaworawihan. He is also considered one of the three beautiful Lao Buddha statues that Siam brought from Laos. He is considered a sacred Buddha statue of the Lao people and a valuable piece of Buddhist art in the Lan Xang style.
