Bangkok | InterContinental Sukhumvit Hotel Experience

This time I chose to stay at InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit, mainly because of its convenient transportation. There is Thong Lo BTS station at the doorstep of the hotel. It is only about 1.8 kilometers to EMSPHERE and only about 6 stations to Siam Paragon (I think so, I can't remember exactly). Bangkok’s traffic is really amazing. Even though the distance is not far, you can be stuck in traffic for an hour, but it only takes 10 minutes to get there by BTS. One time it was raining and there was a long traffic jam at the entrance of Central World... So you really need to use BTS more often when you come to Bangkok! In addition, there are many restaurant options in the Sukhumvit area, so you basically don’t have to worry about food. Hotel Environment This InterContinental is relatively new, with a modern and light luxury design. Overall it feels more cost-effective than Banyan Tree. I stayed at the Banyan Tree before because I wanted to go to its Sky Bar, but the hotel is quite old after all, and I still think the InterContinental is better. Breakfast is a semi-buffet style. You can order a fixed main course on the menu and then get some food from the buffet area. Yes, coffee. When it comes to bread and desserts, there are quite a few famous choices. facility The rooftop swimming pool has a good view but is relatively small. It is on the same floor as the gym and is free for residents to use. Serve It's worth mentioning that the hotel staff were very warm and friendly (but that's true of most Thai people). Some of them can speak fluent Chinese and will come over to chat and say hello.
