Bangkok Sukhumvit ibis Styles Hotel Experience｜Stay in Sukhumvit for just 600+ HKD!

During my 3-day trip to Bangkok, after careful comparison, I chose the Sukhumvit area! Although traffic jams are still an issue, it’s much quieter compared to the Siam area. Plus, shopping in Siam and Rama 9 can be super noisy, so I ultimately decided to stay at "ibis Styles Sukhumvit." Is it worth the 630 HKD per night? Let me tell you right away! ✨First, the pros: 1. Super convenient transportation: Just a 3-minute walk to BTS On Nut station, making it faster than taking a taxi to get anywhere! 2. Great amenities: There’s a 7-Eleven and Lotus supermarket downstairs, making it super convenient to buy snacks and drinks. Across the street, there’s also a small 3-story mall with options for shopping and dining. 3. Excellent service: The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, check-in was super quick, and they promptly helped resolve any issues. 4. Instagram-worthy spots: The infinity pool and Sky Bar are definite highlights! Perfect for taking stunning photos, especially at sunset when the views are amazing. ⚠️Now, the cons: 1. Small room space: Despite being labeled as a king-size bed room, it’s actually two single beds pushed together. Once you open your suitcase, the walking space becomes very cramped. 2. Design flaws: The sink is located in the middle of the room, and every time you wash your hands, the floor gets wet. The shower temperature fluctuates between hot and cold, though it’s not a major issue. 3. Noise and facilities: You can clearly hear sounds from the neighboring room, so light sleepers should bring earplugs! The gym is tiny with only a few pieces of equipment, so fitness enthusiasts beware. The air conditioning is loud but cold enough, so it’s a trade-off. 4. A small surprise: The door near the luggage area in the room turned out to be a fake door, which, when opened, directly revealed the neighboring room (locked). It was quite startling the first time! Summary: Staying in Sukhumvit for just over 600 HKD is a good deal for this location. While there are no major issues, there are quite a few minor flaws. It’s suitable for those who value convenience, prioritize cost-effectiveness, and don’t mind small details. Remember to follow the hotel’s rules, such as no smoking and no durians or mangosteens allowed! Overall, I think it’s okay, and if you’re looking to stay in Sukhumvit on a budget, this is worth considering.
