Amid the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, there is a place so quiet that it seems as if time has stopped - Phya Thai Palace. This palace, built by King Rama VI of Thailand, still retains traces of modern Thai royal life. Its low-key location and non-mainstream tourist spot make it a true royal secret place. We were walking on holiday but encountered few other tourists, just one group of locals taking pictures. The entire park is very peaceful, without the hustle and bustle of tourist groups, making it a great place to slow down and quietly appreciate the historical buildings. However, the weather was really hot, even those of us who don’t sweat much usually were sweating profusely.
