Therefore, it was named Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram, which means a temple built by the King and a temple with a Maha Sima. Above the base of the pagoda are 14 niches, one of which houses the statue of Phra Chao Worawong Thoe Krom Luang Chinnaworasiriwat, Somdet Phra Sangkharat Chao, the 11th Supreme Patriarch of Rattanakosin.
