A Moment in Scent

A Moment in Scent is a solo exhibition by Plaifah, showcasing heartwarming artworks inspired by her beloved dog, Umami. The exhibition delves into one of the artist's most profound experiences: the familiar and unique scent of Umami during their cherished moments together. For Plaifah, scents evoke memories more vividly than images or sounds. To translate this feeling into tangible art, the artist uses the imagery of 'bread' as a central element in most of her works. This is because, to her, Umami's scent resembles the gentle aroma of freshly baked bread. A key intention of this exhibition is to preserve the scent of love and memories. Even if the source of the scent is no longer present one day, these artworks serve as a reminder of the comforting bread-like aroma that marked one of the best times in life, lingering forever in the heart. Visitors to the exhibition can explore a variety of techniques, including acrylic paintings, fiberglass sculptures, and balloon art. There are also exhibition souvenirs and a highlight workshop where attendees can randomly pick a dog doll keychain and decorate it in their own style. Everyone is invited!
